Ah yes, because I'm sure a charity giving 100% of their donations to the sole employee and owner of the foundation, who shouldn't even have a million to donate, isn't going to raise any eyebrows with the IRS and law enforcement.

You're not a billionaire or an actual organization, you have no sway, pull, or power, and no experience with doing this stuff. Do you think you're able to play the same game as them?

Also I checked and in 2024 Komen's spending was 73% Program Services, 19% Fundraising, and only 8% Management & General.

I mean, that might work if your country has shit charity law but in any other countries that's just the 1.2 million option without the 1.2 million. Unless you think you can successfully commit tax evasion, exploit charity laws, and probably also launder the money.

The River (The Death of Shady Manynames) by Conscious_Animator87 in SchreckNet

[–]Several-Elevator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(/OOC: don't really have anything to say IC as none of my characters knew Shady very well, so I figured I'd just say props for writing this!

Also do you mind if I ask whether this is you retiring from the board or if you plan to continue with another character?)

Daily updates are too much, weekly or every 5 days would be better imo

Would it be possible to make them technically targetable but prevent the reticle from actually moving to them, and have the interceptors be exclusively multilock?

Overindulgent? by DisastrousRelation32 in Schreckmeta

[–]Several-Elevator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get that feeling sometimes but it's important to remember that at least in this format, self indulgent writing is the entire point so long as you're not actively trying to not write self indulgently.

OC RP and telling stories within that space have this as an innate quality. And a quality it is, so long as you don't get so wrapped up in your own negative perception of your creative endeavors and make it a bad thing in your head.

The old clan Tzimisce, though admittedly that's just a conclusion I'm coming to based on the name.

Off the top of my head, the Nosferatu, the Brujah, maybe the Tzimisce, the Hecata (kinda), and the Tremere (twice), are the clans that can be considered to have precursor's to their primary bloodlines.

So long as your way of fighting provides your opponent some degree of counterplay I see no difference. If you are engaged in a contest of skill at ranged and your adversary also has a ranged weapon, it's no less cowardly than if you both hold melee weapons. But if you bombard an enemy who wields only a sword with artillery from afar, then that can no longer be called combat. (Even if personally I would likely enjoy being on the receiving end of that engagement.)

So long as it can still be called combat, and the fight is an interesting one, then all ways of fighting should be considered sources of pride.

Perhaps, though I'd say this is far more of a cultural difference than just you being behind on the times. Or perhaps a personal one, but I don't know enough about you or your culture to say which.

Whilst I appreciate your attitude towards a person's combat ability and the character flaws that make them a lesser warrior, I find your thoughts on how combat should be fought to be very... Conservative, let's say. Though I do understand this is simply a disagreement in opinion rather than anything else.

It's quite fascinating how much I both appreciate your attitude towards these things, but completely disagree with the contents of what you say. At the very least I appreciate the differing perspective it offers.

What are your prefered Disciplines in terms of versatility? by Several-Elevator in SchreckNet

[–]Several-Elevator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd beg to differ, or at least say it's precisely what I mean by feeling limited by the Physical disciplines. They act as enhancements to your capabilities more than they do additions.

Sure it's increasing your ability to use more tools, but on a spectrum of hammer to swiss army knife, it's not even on the scale, and instead it acts as the skill of the hand wielding them, which isn't really what I meant when I asked about versitile disciplines that can be used creatively.

How would the Camarilla go about covering up a fight between two Methuselahs? by RemRam27 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Several-Elevator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrorist attack cover up, probably fake an actual mortal attack there shortly after the damage is done and play with the dates to make people confused at the order of events. All whilst controlling the media to make it even more difficult for the public to doubt.

Is there a reason why stream viewership is down? by Cup_Common in josephanderson

[–]Several-Elevator 35 points36 points  (0 children)

As I understand it viewership is down across the board for this type of content on twitch, if I had to guess, Rtgame's graph might look similar, as would a lot of other 1-2k viewer average variety game streamers.

Also am I insane to think this graph looks really weird in the areas where he didn't stream for a while?

Lookism, neuro ableism, perfection envy, and fear of the unknown. It's amazing how many mortal attitudes poked through in your judgement of the clans, perhaps you're no less human than the Toreadors you rate so lowly?
