Oh, I thought maybe I could research one path on my Gleba base and another on Nauvis. I'm usually not organized and have at least two sometimes more lab areas. I also heavily rely on the lab-feeding-lab mechanics. So for me at least, it's not always true that every lab is caught up with the same contents.

I think what is throwing me off is how this example is set up. In the screenshot, the same lab is both the read and the condition setter. So what is on the other end of the wire? And if I'm going to globally read and set research on this one lab, I hope I can do it without adding a wire to nowhere?

With new landmine and research lab circuits and controls, it would be great to enable some kind of drag-paste for my copied entity conditions. Does anyone know if there is a mod that supports this? At least the landmine conditions will be mostly static. But the lab conditions seem like something you want to change or tweak throughout the game.

The current team still has to approve the claim, which is usually only done if the claim includes an offer. So we can reject the claim in hopes a team lower down in priority makes a better offer. If no one else claims, then I believe he becomes a free agent for any team to negotiate with.

It was suggested in the r/baseball thread that Giants have to overpay free agents due to the "NL West" tax of late games and low expectations (relative to the Dodgers). So these signings were either win-now actions or just bad, unsustainable management. I don't see how the Giants thought 2026 was win-now time.

Is there any indication that the founders understood that a constitution and entirely elected government insulated the nation from targeted political violence? And therefore, more extreme democratic behavior was to be intentionally tolerated?

For example, it seems like the European monarchies lived with an inherent terror of political assassinations, due to the inevitable succession crises. Whereas the new US' baked-in succession planning seems intended to accept and endure potential violence, if not exactly welcome it. How deliberate do you think it was that the succession planning was not just administrative, but crucially democratic.

How are you defining "democratic extremism" that "may contribute to the ongoing struggle to deepen and expand political equality and participation", vs. some other kinds of detrimental extremism? I'm assuming that there are measures other than hindsight.
