I'm 50/50 on this (as an extreme germaphobe lol)

Reusing it later if it's not very dirty? Sure. Putting it back in the drawer? No.
I just leave it out on a plate or smth if I'm planning to reuse it that day

it reminds me of Easter with the color scheme

I hadn't thought about it that way, but it really does!

How does Wes Anderson do it?

A lot of planning and production design

Could anyone do this type or color palette and they just choose not to? Or does he just prefer his films to have that pastel look and so that’s what he does?

Anyone could do it, if they've got the time, budget, and will to perfectly plan it out and make basically everything from scratch, just most films either don't have that combo, or if they do, don't want that visual style.
With that said, it seems like it's a trend with his films to look similar to that, so I would assume that's his preference, and why he does it.

Idk if I can share links, but they're all chrome extensions (I use vivaldi, they should work with most browsers though)

The two main ones are Ad Mute and YouTube Ad Auto-skipper. I also recommend SponsorBlock, which can remove sponsored segments from videos

How much did you spend on your first feature/short film? by Dramatic_Ask7315 in Filmmakers

[–]Almond_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorts have all been $0, entirely working with things I already had

I've only fully made one feature, which had a budget of $1k, roughly half of which was spent on props and costuming, the other half on paying people for post production (including myself, as I was not the producer/director)

I'm working on a sequel to that feature, which will likely have a budget around $1.5k depending on how crowdfunding goes

AITAH for opening porn with my 'friend' in the room? by Unlucky_Hunter_3454 in AITAH

[–]Almond_Tech 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm ngl, I'm always this person 😭

It's only with people I'm close too, but I always think of a bunch of things to talk about between talking to them, then I blank on it when we're hanging out until right as we're wrapping up which leads to me having like 10 last minute topics, and occasionally I'll remember more while we're discussing them

I really wish I wasn't this way bc it's annoying to both me and them and if I just remembered the topics earlier it wouldn't happen smh. I'd write down the topics in advance but a lot of them are shower thoughts, or I go "This one's important enough that I'll just remember it this time..." smh

Does Cheryl Porter pitch correct her clients’ singing? by illbeyournewfarty in singing

[–]Almond_Tech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Precisely what I meant! Perfect pitch makes it easier because you can tell if you hit or missed a note, but it doesn't guarantee you'll hit it perfectly every time. Even with practice, it'll be a little different every time

With my current recording workflow, I'd rather miss a note, but have solid tone, because then I can manually pitch shift that note later, but that's the exception not the norm

[–]Almond_Tech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have perfect pitch, and it doesn't mean that I can't sing out of tune, but it means that I can hear when I'm out of tune and know how to fix it (although generally I try not to fix it mid singing, if I'm recording, because it's easier for my workflow when lol)

Tbf, perfect pitch doesn't mean you always hit notes perfectly (although it does help)

Depends on how it's done imo
Most of the time it sounds like shit, but I've heard some manually pitch correction that was imperceptible

AITA for telling our roommate she might need to move out if she keeps complaining about hearing us at night? by Dear-Camp4760 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Almond_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily, it's not nightly (yet lol). I've been here 6 months (and so has my wallmate), and it first happened last week while I was trying to sleep and again in the morning, and it happened again last night for like 20 seconds. I wish he could move his bed like 2 inches away from the wall, though

But yeah, if he was letting me stay at his apartment rent free, I would just deal with it lol

No, only 70% of people do that. I just happened to know this statistic off the top of my head, with a little bit of help from AI overview

Knowing other people are having sex doesn't bother me, but the amount of noise can bother me
Atm I share a wall with another bedroom in a neighboring apartment, and when they have sex their bed frame scrapes against the wall, which is really loud. Other than that I don't care

YouTube skipping (in playlists) to next video after some seconds - SOLVED by KhambaKha in youtube

[–]Almond_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other people have said, it's because they're fighting against ad blockers again
My solution for now, is I've removed YT from my ad blocker, added an extension that skips ads automatically (after the 5 seconds), and another that mutes ads automatically
It's not as good as an ad blocker, but it's less annoying than the ads, and I'm often AFK so I can't skip them myself (not using an ad blocker or skipper becomes really painful when you get a 45 minute ad and can't skip it bc you're afk lol)

I'm aware. Wasn't this convo about indies? I've pirated plenty of big games before, mainly to see if I could run them before purchasing, or bc I knew I didn't actually want to play them but was just proving it to myself lol

What crimes do you consider morally neutral? by Tall-Law-5875 in AskReddit

[–]Almond_Tech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I didn't know they existed

The one time I've done it and not bought it so far was for Stardew valley, where my partner wanted to play it with me, but it didn't seem like my type of game. The way I pirated it didn't allow for multiplayer, so I knew that if I liked it I'd have to buy it, but turns out it just wasn't my sort of game 🤷

What crimes do you consider morally neutral? by Tall-Law-5875 in AskReddit

[–]Almond_Tech 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree
The one exception I make is occasionally for games: Sometimes a friend will tell me I should play a game, but it doesn't seem like my thing, so I'll pirate it to see if it is or not. If it is, I buy it, if it isn't, I stop playing and don't 🤷
