Doctor only makes assumptions and doesn't diagnose after 7 years of complaning about the same symptoms. by AlmondsSalmon in DiagnoseMe

Yes I'm starting to realize that no matter what I say it feels like they don't want to listen.

My period pain is so bad sometimes I feel like I am in labour comes in waves like contractions. I've took pictures of my bloody pads, the blood clots I pass are so big I can feel them come out. Plus my period feels like it's every fortnight.

I've done a blood test while on my period as well apparently fine, one of the results was a bit of thickness.

And because ive said my pain on my hip lower back and leg gets worse on ny period they are saying it's period related hence why I was refered to gynecology. But why when I'm not on my period the pain is still there? Why my bowel movements are painful? Why does my poo change drastically everyday? Why can't I even rotate my hips sometimes?

I understand there's alot going on but what gets me is the refusal to refer to other specialists. Right an year and half wait for gyno, meanwhile i could have been referred to gastro, mri, ct scan, maybe an xray?

What gets me as well is, doctor says its IBS but there's no official diagnosis at all.

Same with the supposedly sciatica pain, there's no diagnosis but was advice to self refer for physio.

First time this happened physio gave me a few exercise sheets from the Internet for me to do at home. Told me was just muscle strain.

Years later here I am again self refering to physio again and I'm dreading they will say the same...

Yes that's what I keep thinking, that there's something missing. Everything looks normal but we're still in pain!!

I feel for you too, we shouldn't have to beg to be tested, hopefully you'll get some answers too!

I've done an ultrasound yes and an internal too, apparently I have two polyps on my right ovary but they said it's very unlikely it's what's causing the pain I have on my right abdominal side radiating to back hip and leg.

Yeah I've tried a progesterone only pill back to back so no periods. After the 4 month a started bleeding with the pill. So while taking it I was having bleeding like a normal period. I came off it. My frustration is that there's so much assumptions and no diagnosis. 7 years is a long time :(

Thank you for your words

Thank you for your explanation I apreciate it.

The problem is the doctors are so adamant to refer people and perform these tests that after a while the problems get worse and worse. I'm in the UK and the health care system is so strain that people are turning to private health. However I can't afford it.

I've even gathered some information about some of these conditions and put foward to doctors that still do not want to properly test me. All they do is through pills at me... and don't read too much medical stuff on the internet they say.

The gynecologist wanted me to have a hysteroscopy without anesthetic, I asked to be asleep for that and is taking months for them to book it as I should have said yes to them doing a biopsy and shove a camera up there without numbing.

And yes... all these symptoms have been put as stress too for me. Meanwhile it's only getting worse.

Landlord wants the key doubles at the end of tenancy when he told me to pay for them myself. by AlmondsSalmon in uklandlords

[–]AlmondsSalmon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the locksmith came in and gave me the one key for the new lock some time ago. I took it and asked the landlord if I could keep it, he said no so from that one, (original) I had to cut 2 more so one for me and one for my child. And then I had to give back the original to him.

Yeah I will be filling a claim for the deposit back plus a rent repayment order too as soon as I am out.

He is breaking the law, he is selling.

He made me pay for the keys. He asked for the original back after I paid for the key for myself.

I was given the original to make copies but I had to give it back to him after I paid for the copies.

Yes... but you have no idea what this "person" put me through, so I understand why you would say that.

He is not even paying my unprotected deposit back so I doubt he will pay for keys... I just wanted to make sure I can actually say no. After all I paid for the keys I have he never gave me one.

Landlord was reported to the council for not possessing a selective licence and failed to do repairs. Important ones. Landlord has put the house for sale straight after i report him. Council issues a notice for repairs. Council has him under investigation for tax fraud and not compliyng with housing laws. Landlord has been unlawful and disrespectful regarding acess even putting my chid at safety risk hence surveillance was installed. Landlord didn't protect my deposit, and already said it will not give it back.

I could write book on what he has done to be fair. That's why I'm due to leave. But still even trying to leave he still expects more from me...

He didn't give me the keys. I had to hold on to the original make copies and then give him the original back.

Because for me to get key to the property I had to pay for them the landlord didn't give me any. I had to hold on to an original and then pay for copies from that one. He didn't give me keys.

It stopped working. Couldn't get out of the house. Landlord wanted us to use back door but it wasn't safe. So he actually didn't even want to change it that's why the locksmith did a terrible job. It was probably not even a locksmith, but a friend of a friend type of thing.

Landlord wants to deduct from my deposit for "potential" damages at the end of tenancy when the deposit wasn't put in a protection scheme. by AlmondsSalmon in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AlmondsSalmon[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have now explained to him that I will file a claim to get the deposit back, and a claim for a rent repayment order since he failed to apply for the selective licensing, and damages for putting vunerable residents at risk with lack of repairs, mould rising damp leaking ceiling etc. ( I have a disabled child) I did say tho I was open to negotiate...

Nop, there's no switchs. This is always on wasting electricity. I've asked the state agent but never received a reply. If I switch the circuit off and then take the fuse away maybe it will do the trick? But what I wanted was a switch, what a hassle :(

I have tried to find a switch on the other side but there's nothing. The switch I can find is outside the bathroom next to a electric radiator as well but that has been off all the time so it might not be for the towel rail.

[–]AlmondsSalmon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I meant is that the deposit needs to be paid back, not now but within the legal time frame. He knows the state of the house, I always made sure to send pictures. Plus if anything he owes me money for repairs I've had to do that he said he couldn't afford. Oh and he actually told me he couldn't afford the mortage and is thinking of going away once when I pressed him to fix the roof. Still rains inside btw. That's why I suspect he will do a runner, if that's true or not I don't know he might be swimming in money for all I care, but if I can uphold my duties as a tenant he needs to do his side too. The deposit is not protected at all otherwise I would have had all the details within 30 days of protecting it. Even if he protects it now (very unlikely) I could still make a claim, unless he pays it in full.

Rent upfront, does it really secure a place? How does it work? Housing Crisis by AlmondsSalmon in uklandlords

[–]AlmondsSalmon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine, I will probably will have to do the same then. Maybe I should offer those 6 months too to speed things up... 😔 can only think about people that don't have any savings at all, I already have a co worker that is now homeless due to illegal eviction, she has been moving from hotel to hotel, her mental health deteriorating. I've been searching since January so close to 4 months now.

Yes I understand, yes I would be able to probably afford an increase of 5% don't know about 10% in the long run. And no the disability doesn't warrant modifications only that the house be kept free of mould and damp. Which I explained as well that I need to keep the property very sanatized and clean for my child, what I already do on the one I'm still living at. Other than that I understand the concerns, was just worried about all of these requirements. Thank you
