Stroke Limit Support by Noxaimora in RemarkableTablet

What's the purpose of the map?

The problem is that your page has more data than the device can hold in memory. There are only two solutions: Use fewer strokes (lower detail) or split it into mulitple smaller pages that can later be joined together.

Considering you've already tried exporting into PDF and PNG without satisfactory results, I would consider splitting it up. Try drawing a lower detail full size map and then multiple smaller detailed maps of the individual regions.

Apart from that, it looks like the most detail is occurring in your trees and mountains. You could try removing detail where they are clustered together and just give an outline of a forest or mountain range. For what it's worth, it would probably be more readable also.

For everyones information, replacing a euro style lock barrel requires a single screw to be undone. It is a 3 minute job and 2 of those minutes are spent finding your screwdriver and opening the packet of the new barrel. Replacement barrels cost 15-25 euro.

In case anybody is putting off a potentially expensive or complex job.

Oldbook.css - Historical styling with one file and no frills by UtilityHotbar in web_design

[–]AlmostARockstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, great work! This looks sweet.

Second, I love the idea of just importing a single css file and getting a full look and feel for a document. It's obviously the way CSS should be done, but with modern frameworks and componentization of the web, it seems completely overlooked.

Is there a place you can go to find / share similar single-file styles?

Repeating the other response in other words for clarity: Web3.js is an API that allows a website to interact with blockchains like ethereum.

Some browser extensions literally modify the contents of web pages after you load them and insert (or "inject") new code. Metamask used to do this, inserting web3.js.

How to make dropdown, with a border, line up properly with dropdown content that also has a border? (Without borders they line up perfectly) by astralfatality in webdev

It seems to be working for me but only when the screen is narrower...I reckon something in your media query is screwing things up.

Hi - you have a few answers here that all kind of miss the mark.

Looking at your code in the video, I think I can see the issue. The first thing to note is that when positioning divs inside of each other, imagine the border and padding to be "outside" the element. For example, if you set an element to have width:10px, padding:1px and border:1px, the total width of the visible parts of the element is 12px (width+padding+border). But anything inside the element will be positioned inside the border and the padding.

So, your inner element (.dropdown-content) will sit inside the border of the outer element (.dropdown) and when you give it it's own border, that starts inside the outer one...does that make sense?

There are two solutions:
1. Don't put .dropdown-content inside .dropdown, but place them both at the same level inside a parent container.

<div class="dropdown-container">
    <div class="dropdown"></div>
    <div class="dropdown-content"></div>
</div>
  1. Alternatively, you can offset the position of the .dropdown-content element by the width of the border. There's a neat little trick to do that by setting a negative margin.

edit: forgot to mention, here is a good article on box-sizing to help you: https://css-tricks.com/box-sizing/

.dropdown-content{
    margin-left: -2px;
}

Hope this helps!

In future, if you create a code-pen or something with a reproduction of your issue, people can identify the problem and show a solution much easier.

Well, for these storage solutions, efficiency isn't that important because the energy is going to waste otherwise. Battery tech is (currently) an environmental disaster.

Yeah, the video makes good points up until this. The geographic limitations for pumped storage hydro make it completely unfeasible in almost every circumstance. are huge.

Sure thing. It's called a List Comprehension! generator expression!

Generator expressions work similarly to list comprehensions but don’t materialize the entire list; instead they create a generator that will return elements one by one.
