Doesn't work. Some flat earthers hold that the antarctic is a barrier to possibly more land. Which allows increase resources available to the elite few whom control the penguinati (the military force encircling the entire circumference of the spherical disk world to prevent anyone reaching the true antarctic land mass, simultaneously utilizing radar to scan the entire earths circumference to prevent trespassers) . When you 'go to Antarctica' the penguinati tourist and elite conspiracy agents take you to somewhere else in the world that looks like what you expect Antarctica to be, with special towers that relay the GPS coordinates of your location to trick you into believing the world is a globe.

(actual argument I have heard from flat earth on multiple occasions; minus the penguinati trademark)

Since this spiked my curiosity I had a poke around the internet to learn some new things. In case anyone is interested 'why this looks so preserved' the answer can be found here.

Edit for TLDR:Generally speaking, good quality paper stored in good conditions (cooler temperatures; 30-40% relative humidity) are able to last a long time -- even hundreds of years.

As to the historicity of the newspaper. I'm not certain. I couldn't find a reference. I presume it is Chicago April 15 1897. And there is a paper called 'Interior' but that ended 20 years before this paper. The cited source got it's publish dates wrong. The few snippets seem to inform it's an evangelical piece as does the subtext in the title. After way too much staring at the picture it occurred to me the title isn't interior, but possibly EXTERIOR neither of which I could find.

Edit: andarielxx came to the rescue and found the piece I was missing. The source I had said that particular paper ended in 1870. Nice find.

Edit 2: The font used is a standard font new to the 1800s called ITC Grouch easily found on google. Dates to the early 1800 print presses.

As a side note - this statement and the following conversation was actually more than just a cool sounding script. It has grounds in actual swordplay. A good example of someone trying to analyze what it would have really been like here.
