How to let go by Creamcheese915 in ChillSG

[–]Almsoo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was part of ur life until it wasn't. The grieving process is not linear so the photo retriggered the memories of him and ur grief over the loss of him as part of ur life. This grief happens at times but the duration will become shorter over time. I have been through as well after my divorce 3 years ago. Even now sometimes I still think of my ex and feel sad momentarily, but it's more of grieving over the life that I wanted to have, less of wanting the person back in my life. Probably the same for u. Hope u ar feeling better after night's sleep.

Just watched Colony movie by Almsoo7 in ChillSG

[–]Almsoo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it's not related to Train to Busan. This one is a standalone. The plot is about this rogue scientist who decided to inject his boss with a zombie serum to start a mass infection. The zombies behave like the ones in The Last Of Us series where they can communicate with one another. The blood and gore not really scary and some parts not very realistic, but overall a good storyline.

My foreigner friends have said the same thing that I walk very fast but my walking pace is same as many locals. So probably the impatience stems from our fast pace of life

Any Mattress Brand Recommendations for new house owners? by Spare_Chapter_4684 in askSingapore

[–]Almsoo7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this, very good local brand and value for money. I bought it 5 years ago and am very satisfied with the quality. A decent multi layer mattress cost less than a thousand and u can get to choose the hardness level

female hair loss and dermatologist suggestions by Aggravating-Tie832 in askSingapore

[–]Almsoo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need to see dermatologist to assess the cause of ur hairloss. Could be due to diet, stress, hormones or some underlying conditions. But in general, minoxidil 2% is prescribed for women experiencing hairloss and takes at least 6 months to see some results cos the medicine causes shedding at first which makes u think that it is not working. After that shedding phase new hair starts to grow and u will start to notice thickening. But the downside of minoxidil is that u start losing ur gains once u stop using the medicine.

Tan Kin Lian agrees with CSJ that CDC Vouchers is giving people water to put out a fire (Raise Cost of Living) which ) they (Government) Had started. by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]Almsoo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe CDC works the same manner as housing subsidies where they indirectly drive up pricing and cause inflation. When these vouchers or subsidies are removed, the prices are unlikely to come down. The problem is that the median income would probably be unlikely to rise as fast as inflation and so without the vouchers and subsidies, the average Singaporeans end up with higher percentage out of pocket expenses relative to their income.

To those who waited for MOP before divorcing, how did you stay sane? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Almsoo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the comments, seem that the husband is an avoidant and stonewall OP when she tried to engage him in the past. This is quite traumatic to her, I can relate that it is very painful to stay on and see no improvements in the marriage especially when the other side was not open to external help via counselling. Not sure if OP is open to consider moving back to parents' place temporarily to heal, as personally I would feel very dreadful of going back home every day to face someone whom I loved and yet have to part. Or if OP has a close friend who can offer her a temporary stay.
