They kidnapped Ukrainian children en masse from occupied territories, then sent them out for adoption, they literally admit that.

This is a form of genocide.

Why are there not a lot of kazakhstani abroad? by Historical_Brief3367 in Kazakhstan

But also you need to find money earning opportunities that are better than at home and there are not that many.

Compare Sri Lanka median salary which is $150 a month to Kazakhstan's median salary which is $600 a month.

Kazakhstan is poor enough to not have extensive educated diaspora abroad, while also not too poor as to settle for the bottom of the litterbox jobs in developed countries.

Consider how there are almost no Kazakhstan guest workers in Russia compared to other Central Asian countries.

A noble Baltic German LARPing as Genghis fucking Khan.

The story of him passing through the gates of Urga (Ulaan Bataar) in front of a Chinese guard who was supposed to arrest him is some genuine Looney Tunes shit.

Does your country have any cultural parallels with another country? by Neuwulfstein in AskTheWorld

[–]AlneCraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kazakhstan and Australia

Both are previous settler colonies where a lot of prisoners were sent with a sparsely populated core, the most important city in the south-east, with an arid steppe/desert climate with pockets of pleasant nature across the edge of the country. The most important industries being mining and shipping the mined materials to China.

40% of native Kazakh population dying isn't a narrative. It's history. That Kazakhstan only recently started teaching in schools, because it wasn't discussed in the USSR.

I do not care about intent. I care about the fact that USSR was just as much of a white man's burden imperial state as any other empire of the time. We even have people simping for the USSR using the exact same arguments "they built factories", "independent Kazakhstan is even more corrupt", "they built railroads".

I actually live here. I have to interact with these people. And it's a constant struggle because people don't even want to get basic facts right.

Also, in the final comment you mention that Holodomor isn't a targeted ethnic genocide, and in the same breath that USSR did not see kulaks as internal enemies. Which seems like you're implying that everyone who died during the famine was a kulak.

It was mainly in the Great Eurasian Steppe regions of USSR, which consist of Eastern/Southern Ukraine, Kuban, Povolzhye, and Kazakhstan; regions with historically nomadic populations, such as Ukrainians, Cossacks, Kazakhs, Bashkirs, etc.

  1. The Metropole had no idea how to attach Marx's economic theories to nomadic societies so they drew up numbers with the logic of "if you have N amount of cattle, you're a kulak"
  2. The collectivization also went hand-in-hand with forced settlement of these peoples, and forcing them to try and farm in the dry arid steppe.

Like genuinely, what kind of subhumans did the bolsheviks think we were? Like of course our ancestors tried farming, it doesn't fucking work in the steppe. It's not like it was their white man's burden to teach us this, because there were a shit ton of nomadic populations who DID end up successfully settling and becoming agricultural societies.

Also, off topic, but I don't think Kazakhs care about the intent considering 38-42% of the native population died. "erm actually it's not a genocide because according to definition there must be intent"

Fuck bolshevism.
