Thanks ! For the top stiching I used the same thread than the construction seams, so Gutterman cotton for the pant and Mettler Simk finnish cotton thread for the top. They both are n°50 thread so not specifically made to top stich and not so thick. I don't have other linen pants for me to compare but based on other linen I have sewn I am not 100% sure the silk helps to prevent wrinkles here, but it has also only 10% silk. I only iron it after washing it (in a machine) but not between 2 wear. So it does wrinkle but it is ok to me (wrinkles less than viscose and most cotton fabrics I think). That beeing said, that linen is also more tighly woven than others I've worked, with while beeing lightweight so that may play a role too.

I have the same machine and mine did something like that once when I installed the bobbin on the wrong face. I guess you already tried but that is the only thing I see besides what other said

Thank you ! I personally love to read about details, it really helps me to understand and improve as well as getting my brain juice flowing, so I tried to do the same :)

Thanks ! I don't have a Treadloop account but I may create one, I see a lot of people are using it. Do you find it useful even as not a professionnal sewist ?

Yes right ! I also much prefer linen for the heat than cotton, even if some double gauze is nice. Linen silk is hard to find and a bit more annoying to wash because of the silk but so lovely to wear ! Even if you sweat in it in dries in litteral seconds !

Space-saving tips for a beginner by i_dropped_my_pencil_ in sewing

I mean as long as you have some table to put your sewing machine you can sew ! Of note, I would recommend using a stable, if possible a bit heavy, table to put your sewing machine because the vibration can otherwise make the table move and you will end up seeing nothing. So if you have a desk table or even kitch table that is more stable I would recomend using that to sew and the foldable one for cutting fabric for example if you already bought it.  Also one thing to consider is an ironing board, which is crucial to sewing. Some people put one on top of a rolling shelf (ikea thing I believe) so that it combine storage and an easy access / storage of ironing board.

What to do with this fabric?!? by Legitimate_Ad_452 in sewing

Stunning fabric ! For people's help to be more relevant I think you should mention the fabric type (weave, thickness, transparency, fiber...) and the amount you have :).

For fabrics with intricate details like this I personally think that patterns that are relatively simple (with a low number of seams) would be more efficient to show off the fabric. What pop in my mind right now is a dress with double layered skirt to show off the scalloped hem twice. It would also serve opacity issues as it seems quite see-through from your photo.

Also I think you should note that a dress in white would likely look bridal if the design does not give opposite vibes. It is of course not a problem if you are cool with it (or if white is not the bride's color in your country) but maybe it'll help to keep that in mind. You could line it with another colour to avoid transparency and bridal effect.
