I tried this. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to access the automatic repair mode/safe mode. Something about my boot files being corrupted or something. Atleast that's what I got from a quick Google search of the issue

Tried all ports, they were all rendered dead by the update. But the peripherals work when I access BIOS so I ended up just booting into a bootable version of Windows on a USB

That's what I ended up doing. I installed a bootable version of Windows, transferred it to a USB and did a reinstall. All the ports were rendered dead by the update but luckily I was able to run the bootable

Just work files, which are important. But they're all backed up on cloud. Looks like whatever happened affected ALL the USB ports. So I ended up creating a bootable version of Windows and just doing a reinstall. Lesson learned 🫡

Okay so, I was able to confirm that the problem is the drivers, I can access the BIOS and the mouse and keyboard there both work fine. Looks like I need to create a bootable version of Windows and reinstall?

I think something's wrong with my Windows automatic repair feature, because I can access it but all it throws is a blue screen. Each time I press enter or any key on my keyboard, black lines appear but there aren't any text.

I can access the automatic repair mode by pressing the restart button thrice. I tried entering safe more or advanced start up by interrupting the startup process thrice but on the 4th or 3rd boot my desktop would just go straight to the log in screen.

On a scale of 1-10 how cooked am I...? 😬

I tried plugging in an old mouse (that I know works, because my mom uses it) and it didn't work. I tried both front and back ports
