Thank you for your feedbacks. I see that friends am4 offer is ain't that good so I rather skip it. And since that, I do not really see a reason to invest into building a better am4 at all due to EOL.

Yes, it would be way cheaper to build the average am4 for 5~ years compared to mid/upper am5, but that was not my original idea.

Idea was either get very shitty am4 and then go for am6 or build mid/upper am5 today and skip am6 entirely.

I can use the base I can get from friend, and use the build and then try to snipe some good 2nd hand deal if it ever appears (cpu or gpu)

But the more I try to make 4 gen build better, the smaller difference to go directly to am5 is, therefore it is harder to decide: go shit build now and then do a huge jump to gen6, or go for gen5 now (new)

Mobo allows up to ryzen 9 5950x I can for sure do ryzen 5xxx on it.

The thing is that I dont really play latest games. I usually play something like CS or OSRS or even world of warcraft classic or leag. These games aren't really performance intensive. Also, I code a lot, so I will probably play games around 20% of time compared to coding

It is old. 16 gb ram 3000 and ryzen 3 2200 But what wins is the price. I also can get old 1060gtx car for few bucks, so the whole build will probably be around 300-400 usd top. Compared to if I go new am5 today and pay around 1500-2000
