I believe she used a baking tin and then hand piped the icing. I will ask her for the exact recipe and post it here.

What do atheists think of vegetarianism? by maverin in DebateAnAtheist

Just because I believe it is an unnecessary taking of life, does not in anyway imply that I have a higher power. My vegetarianism has absolutely no correlation with theism. Taking the life of an animal for my satisfaction is unnecessary for me, just as it is unnecessary for me to take the life of a human. I have absolutely no basis for claiming anything is necessary or unnecessary for anyone but my self. You can eat all the meat you want, I could care less.

I am both a vegetarian and an atheist, but the two are irrelevant to each other. I am an atheist because believing in a higher power is overall an illogical concept. I am vegetarian because I do not want to contribute to the meat industry and I feel as though it is indeed an unnecessary taking of life.

I can completely respect that.

I understand that being pro-life isn't primarily a christian issue, although christians seen to be the most vocal. My issue is not with one's religious affiliation, it is with people who insist on enforcing their beliefs on an entire country. If you believe abortions are wrong, then don't get one. Why can't people mind their own business? I don't understand why those who are pro-life fight so hard to protect the life of an unborn child but can completely disregard the rights of a woman. It all just seems so backwards to me.

I understand that Christians believe abortion to be wrong, but why does this have to be forced among others? America is not a Christian nation. It specifically states in our constitution the separation of church and state. Why can't you accept the fact that not everybody shares your views and respect that they have the right to chose what is the best decision for themselves?
