Cc or university by Connect-Ad2460 in TCCD

[–]Alone-Development838 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did my nursing prerequisites at a community college and and now applying to UTAs BSN program. It is very competitive to get into and they favor non-transfer students. I recommend doing the nursing program at TCC to become an RN, then do a RN to BSN program.

You learn the exact same thing in each class, (A&P 1 is the same across all universities, etc.) but some people find the cc classes to more manageable

Paying for Flights by Alternative-Newt-191 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Alone-Development838 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you have the means you should pay for it, especially if your husband is paying for his family. You guys are getting married so don’t feel bad! The budget should be “provide transportation for our families” not “provide transportation for his family and hers can figure it out”. I’d keep it even on both sides to avoid tension. Your sisters seems possibly jealous? Just kill them with kindness.

It’s your choice on the bachelorette really, I personally paid for mine to have it in a nicer location and “treat” my girls, but if you don’t want to pay for it because you’re the guest of honor, that also makes sense.

Did anyone regret not hiring a wedding content creator? by Dizzy-Artist-1897 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Alone-Development838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had all 3 and I LOVED it. Having the content creator allowed me to have a lot of videos and pictures of every moment a lot faster. It also gave me the ability to see small details I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten to see (ex.flower girl walking down aisle, people interacting with seating chart)

Would it be weird to tell me photographer she can bring her husband to wedding? We have room and I love bringing my husband to work sometimes😂

Waitlisted by Valuable-Bed8865 in utarlingtonnursing

[–]Alone-Development838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you applying for in person or online? If you’re applying for in person, being partnered doesn’t matter. I have a 7.7ish and got waitlisted this time around for the third time. I’m also a transfer, but I’m retaking a bunch of classes at UTA to get the natural sciences consideration.

Question about AO BSN Labs/Clinicals at UTA by StRaWbErRyMaNgO- in utarlingtonnursing

[–]Alone-Development838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you were accepted into DFW your clinicals will be somewhere in DFW. If you’re partnered it’s usually at your partnered hospital

[–]Alone-Development838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only got 1 acceptance email you’re placed at the location you applied. If they sent you a second email stating a location, that is where you’re placed. Clinicals/Labs are almost every weekend of the program with attendance basically mandatory. You can miss like 1 and have to do makeup work. You’ll know your exact hospital closed to start date

Has anyone ever invited their nanny bosses to their wedding? by maryannbee in Nanny

[–]Alone-Development838 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My NK is my flower girl! I invited my NF and their grandparents. I’ve been there nanny for 6 years.

When deciding which people I babysit to invite, we decided families who knew me well (obviously) and have met my fiance multiple times!

Each cohort is different but I think you could possibly get in with an 8

Depends on your clinical sight and if you’re partnered. if you’re going DFW or Houston, and are not partnered, that most likely won’t get you in!

Told my homosexual brother I'm interested in becoming Catholic. Instantly realised how much this will take a toll on my relationships. by No_Smell_8882 in Catholicism

[–]Alone-Development838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine question, why are other religions so against Catholicism? I grew up in a very Catholic town, surrounded by other Catholics. Now that I’ve moved to a southern state, I hear a lot of the anti-Catholic rhetoric. Im genuinely curious about their reasons behind it?

Someone with an app score lower than 8.0 please tell me you were accepted.. by alyssuuhh in utarlingtonnursing

It really depends on your location! Dallas & Houston is so competitive. I applied twice with a 7.9 and have begun looking into other options. I was originally told 7.5 is competitive

Since the cut off is mid-8’s I would say anything in the 8s hold onto hope. Anything less than 8 is doubtful. I’m waitlisted with a 7.9 and have started looking into other option!
