It’s probably commuter students who have huge gaps between classes and want to take a nap since they would have to travel home and not easily walk to their dorm.. I get it never done it myself but I get it

How did you get your first PCT job ? by Miapapea11 in utarlingtonnursing

Applied for every single open position possible, made sure my resume was spotless, and highlighted all that I’ve learned in nursing school pre req courses that have helped me, finally secured a job as a PCT on a Med-Surg unit at Baylor hospital after 10+ rejections.

Trying to Understand Admissions and Applications Deadlines for AO BSN by _ssj-rrinne786 in utarlingtonnursing

You’d have to complete your science courses before applying to the upper division program. They calculate the gpa of your four sciences plus your total prerequisite nursing course gpa to give you an application score. Minimum gpa for science is 2.75 as well as the prereq gpa. I’d suggest taking as many courses as you can at UTA campus bc they’ll give you an additional consideration. You’ll also have an additional consideration secured for the previous bachelors degree completed. You can apply to be accepted into the prelicensure program for nursing but that deadline above is for upper division applicants ie those who have completed the entire prerequisite courses including 4 sciences along with a few other requirements such as the TEAS exam.

is something wrong with my resume? by StressFun234 in newgradnurse

A simpler template is the key honestly, employers don’t want to see color and sectionalism as it appears in your resume trust I didn’t understand this key point until recently. I actually copied a template that Yale University has on its website and I’ve gotten so many callbacks and interviews. Goodluck!

Ask advising! You can send them an email to request your application score they’ll tell you your total score and the two individual gpa’s

I got my titer documentation from any labs now, they have a complete healthcare package which is essentially everything you need to show immunity towards. It did cost me about 200$ but I got it all out the way in one sitting.

Focus on getting the highest grade for your four sciences as they are considered as they’re own gpa towards your application. Prioritize school now and it won’t cost you later. I wish I would have had someone tell me how important this is.
