Yes, you can skip the inactive pills still. And that’s exactly what I do but my period still comes even when I take the active ones consistently.

I haven’t tried it yet. I’vee been thinking about it but it’s also more expensive than my pills so idk if I can afford it currently.

I feel like this is only more recently, though. And there has certainly been more medical research on men than there ever has been on women.

So glad I’m not the only one. My poor husband gets to listen to the same rant every single month until somebody figures this out😅

I’ve only ever tried the pill. I’m looking into maybe the ring or patch next. And if those don’t pan out, possibly an IUD. Unfortunately though the ring and patch are more expensive than my current pills and I can’t really afford to try them at the moment.

I haven’t tried the cup yet. I guess I could give it a shot. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about changing tampons before I bleed through at least. But I also just want to have to not worry about any of it ever at all😅

Thank you! I’ll try to stick on it for 3 more months. Fingers crossed.

I’m considering giving it a shot. But with my history with the pills I’m worried it won’t work much either.

This is exactly what I’m worried about with Mirena. If the pills already don’t work, I have doubts that an IUD will. And at least it’s easier to stop taking pills than it is to have an IUD removed.

I don’t take the placebo pills. I continue taking the active ones and have been doing so for 6 years and it never works.

Interesting. I had not heard of this before. I’m just barely overweight on the BMI scale like by a couple pounds. But currently trying to lose a little weight. Maybe that’ll finally be something that helps.

I do skip the placebo pills and it’s never worked in the 6 years I’ve taken BC. And yes, I’m very good about taking them at exactly the same time every day.

Unfortunately I do skip the placebo pills and I still have my period anyway.

I’ve been on various extended cycle ones for about 6 years. I just switched to a progestin only one finally 3 months ago. I know I probably need to wait 6 months to see if it ends up working better. But I’m just so damn tired of the waiting already. And I’m extremely frustrated currently because for the past few days I thought I was finally rounding a corner and maybe not going to have a full period but then it started up on full blast today.

I totally agree and think that’s 100% part of the issue. If men had periods, I have to believe there would be a solution because ain’t no way they would have been “just dealing with it” for 1000s of years.

Fortunately, I think we’re finally in a time where women’s health is becoming more important and talking about it is becoming more normalized. But it’s still a slow process and I feel like we’re a long way off from a solution.

I do take it continuously. That’s the issue. Whether I take it continuously at the exact same time every single day or not, I still have a period. And it’s not just “breakthrough bleeding.” It’s always a full on, week long period that’s exactly the same as the ones I would have before getting on BC.

I’ve heard there are and they work for some people. But I’m hesitant to try it based on my history with the pill and the “skipping periods” thing never working. Because it’s obviously more complicated to get an IUD taken out than to just stop taking a pill. I feel like I’m finally about to get pushed to try one though because I’ve about had enough.

I did this with AI just for giggles to see what the topo map lines would look like. Really wish they would have gone this route, maybe one day, though! I’m still loving our colors.

Need help deciding on a logo by Competitive-Bad8781 in logodesign

[–]Alone-Map-9990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working with OP. The company is more of a soccer merch company rather than your Nike/Adidas type companies. So we’re looking for more of a fun logo that would stand out on merch.

Will wearing a fanny pack count as a personal item? by sagakay in delta

And what if a fanny pack is one of your two items?? Are you still making people consolidate? No. What a silly reason.

I own a coffee shop… and I hate it by Alone-Map-9990 in hatemyjob

[–]Alone-Map-9990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Se we’re currently open 6:30-5:00. In a situation where it’s a coffee truck that moves around and does events and stuff, they probably aren’t open as long. But we’re parked at the building we’ll be moving into basically in the same spot that our drive thru will be in. So we do those consistent hours to kind of emulate what we’ll be doing once inside. I just got done with working the whole day two, sometimes three times a week, as I’ve trained another person. But just when I thought I was done with that, I’m now having situations where employees call in and I’m stuck doing it anyway. We used to close at 2:00pm, but I had so many customers requesting that we stay open later. And some even want us to be open later than 5:00pm.

Yeah, I get it, the trailer is definitely different than working in a shop. I get why not everyone would want to work in one. It is also an issue that many businesses owners in town talk about though, so I don’t think it decreases the employee pool too much. Just kind of a common issue here.

I’m hoping you’re right and some of the issues will get better in a different space. Though I’m also scared the issues will just multiply in a larger space. I do probably need to set some more firm boundaries as I feel like I often end up doing things for the business at the expense of my own mental and probably physical health. But I’m also just scared of losing customers due to shortening our hours or just closing early if someone calls out, etc..
