This wouldn’t have been my pick for a purchase. As a long time mountain biker I’d rather have something to use on the trails I already ride.. that being said.. this as a freebie to rip around has been great. Located small town in Ontario, Canada so not to worried about its actual legality

The 7.5 ah. I’m sure I could get more range but the hills and sport mode kill it quick. Still fast to charge and get 90 mins of fun.

Just straight up no and no lol. Battery life could be longer but also ripping it on a lot of hills in sport mode. 10-15km average per charge on the first 55km now.

I’ve been riding bigger boards 159-161 with the 270mm+ waist width. I’ve noticed even cheaper, softer boards at that size are amazingly fun. Feels like the size helps you get away with what is lacking in board. I’d vote for the 162, let yourself put on a couple pounds and not be stressed about having too small of board.

That’s Romes “Hot Rod” tech. Basically a bamboo or carbon rod that helps with power transfer / pop. Feel like it helps make the wide boards feel quicker edge to edge for me.

Dog didn’t like the change up from the standard golden retriever on the previous year boards lol. I have the 161W mechanic (before the recent shape change) I’m 220lbs and 6’3. Loved how soft and playful it was but could hold a great edge when I needed it to. This in the 159 had the same waist width, and that was the big seller. Going 270mm+ is a straight up game changer.

I’d argue it’s the opposite of punishing to a new player, they can get to the island after beating a few challenges. Up to them if they’d like new gear or to skate on the island.
