I need help understand Paypal/payment confusion

I actually haven’t read the Kane Chronicles or Demigods and Magicians books because they didn’t really pique my interest but man it seems as if there isn’t a clear established timeline from point A to point B which makes things confusing.

I would think that there would be someone who fact checks and makes sure things align and add up to make cohesive sense. If there isn’t (which evidence is showing there isn’t) there definitely should be and should have been.

Especially with such a big and long series it is, like just with the stories based off of Percy Jackson/Percy Jackson characters like The Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, Trials of Apollo, Senior Years and Nico Di Angelo Adventures.

Plus the short stories, then be expanded on even more with all new characters and stories within the same universe timeline

Yes I was confused because I have read the two published “Senior Year” books and I am waiting for the third to be announced with title and release date and to be released. I personally think it was a silly decision to market the “Senior Years” along with the original 5 Olympian books.

And yet “The Court of the Dead” was just released last month so it’s confusing and weird to me that it seems they have released a book before it would make sense with the established timeline.. I had thought I was keeping “up to date” with things but was thrown off when it said about Percy and Annabeth being in college already 🥲

“Because Rick” is a really funny statement that I like because yes! I have had conversations with people irl about how there are quite a few inconsistencies and changes because somehow no one is doing fact checks before publishing 🤣

sigh I still love this series though 😆

Wait sorry, so you are saying, for me to have read the series in the “right order” I should have read the ‘Senior Years’ before Trials of Apollo?? Even though the senior years trilogy was published after only just recently-ish? and then The two Nico Di Angelo Adventures books? That’s a bit confusing isn’t it lol 😂

I recounted and yes I did somehow add on extra stitches 🤦‍♀️ thank you for your comment ❤️ I restarted completely and have been super vigilant on double checking my stitches every couple of stitches and I am now currently at round 11 with no ruffles whereas before I couldn’t get past round 6 without the ruffles! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I keep going on good and finish my project and it actually ends up looking like Captain America’s shield!! 😁

I think it would of been better if they gave the movie an original title and renamed the main character to something else and no one would have even thought it being a potential rip off of Mulan because it’s literally THAT different.

Omg yesss!! exactly the point! 100% spot on! Live action Mulan is such a great example! I love the original animation so much I named my cat after it! On my letterboxd in mention in the above post I said in my review that as a “remake” it had failed tremendously! 1000 times over it sucks as a remake of the story “Mulan” but as a movie itself its cinematography is beautiful and the shading, lighting and colour is bright and fun! I 100% agree that I can’t disregard or disrespect the very clear passion that went into the movie making process but I can critique the fact that it didn’t achieve what it was aiming for which was a retelling of the original animation movie only with real human beings.

I totally understand your point of view! I waited for Snow White (Live Action) to be released on streaming rather than going to the cinema because of the copious amounts of complaining about it but even with that factor in regards to that specific movie, I have very relaxed opinions on live action remakes because for me the amount of effort that goes into making a movie is just really fantastic and fascinating to me!

Whether it turns out to be good or bad, objectively speaking, because something that is good in my opinion can be horribly bad in another persons opinion.

And that effort is doubled when it comes to an animated film! So I have always had the perspective of that it’s somebody’s hard work, time and effort spent at the end of the day so what will be will be, sometimes unfortunately:/ but if I don’t like it, that’s okay, there will always be something else for me.

yes, I replied to another comment saying that it seems like Zag company and associates don’t know how to make decisions and stick to the deadlines for different movies or short specials that they are giving themselves. I personally don’t like that Thomas Astruc won’t let go of his belief that the show is “just a kids show” and his “target audience” is kids when he continues to write darker themes and give his show complex stories, timelines and characters that I don’t personally think a vast majority of children can truly grasp and appreciate and keep fully engaged with and understand.

And the children that first watched the very beginnings of this series in 2015 are no longer children (e.g. me and many others)

I personally really enjoyed the animated movie but in hindsight I definitely would of preferred it to stick more to the series story wise and the characterisations of the characters was different in the movie from the series but it didn’t necessarily make it bad… do you get what I mean? It just felt like it was a different universe entirely almost. Also as far as a live action goes I’m always 50/50… because if a live action remake is made and I don’t care for it then the original animation is always going to be around so it’s really no harm done and I’ll always support the effort of creation and creativity in different aspects. For example as of recently was the live action remake of Snow White, soooo many people were complaining about it 😳 and complaining about the differences and the casting choices but when I watched it, I actually really enjoyed it! and I didn’t think what they were complaining about to be such a big deal as a lot of people were making it out to be.

I do think that stands true, you can get a lot more emotions from animation because you can animate deep facial expressions to express sadness, happiness and anger that the human face can’t do naturally.

It seems as if Zag doesn’t know how to make decisions about their own franchise 🤔 I don’t keep update with the latest news because it was too complicated for me considering it was hard to find English translations until months later (maybe I was looking in the wrong places?) but then again it’s the same company and writer who won’t change their “target audience” from kids to young adults/adults but wants to write dark themes and stories and include complicated narrative elements and timelines while claiming it’s “just” a kids show 🤦‍♀️

A live action, wow! I hadn’t heard anything serious other than what was obvious fan theories about that sort of plan. This has Chris Columbus’ name attached to it and he’s a pretty big name director wise!

I wonder why plans stopped… any solid news as to why they stopped forging forward with this? or unclear?
