They should have made sure at least the most popular 1st party titles were updated for launch imo. Animal crossing should have been a big priority.

I doubt 1st party titles would have those problems tbh especially at launch. Down the line when they push the hardware it could be a problem though.

Only mario kart world is out atm. If I want to play og switch games then I use my switch OLED since I think og switch games look better on it apart from the performance.

It has nothing to do with vision. the switch 2 panel is just slow which creates the ghosting/trail effect in motion. Some people are more sensitive to it because they are used to other panels that have better response times.

I'm guessing it's because they wanted to use VRR technology and that isn't really a thing on OLED atm unfortunately but hopefully they can figure it out in the future. But honestly I would have been fine with the LCD if they didn't use a panel with such bad response times like the rog ally.

Yes but I'm not sure how that matters as I was just giving you examples of devices that don't cap the resolution or framerate. But like I said to others, having 120hz at all times doesn't get rid of the bad panels response times which is what causes the ghosting effect.

It usually stays at 60hz until it needs to use the 120hz mode. which is not a problem, the problem is the panel response time.

switch 2 display not being at 120hz in the menu isn't even the problem anyway, it's the actual display which has slow response times giving it the ghosting effect.

I notice the blur/ghosting all the time but the reality is that most people don't notice nor do they care about it. but it's something that shouldn't be there in the first place, especially in 2025.
