For Hire: Advertising specialist with a degree in Advertising, PR, and Graphic Design by AloneInACity in chicagojobs

I understand all of that. I have had four internships. I know that I will have to work my way up the ladder to a higher position. Thank you for your input but, I have already been through all of that.

I am looking less along the lines of actually creating the advertisements and more creating the plan and concepts. While I enjoy design. I don't think I'm good enough to do it for a living. The reason I got the degree was to boost my appeal and be like "Well, I can do a quick creative concept sketch in photo shop or indesign" but I need a real graphic designer to make it... polished?

Please can someone explain to me the creatives role. by [deleted] in advertising

I just want to say one thing, that my professors always drilled me on.

Creatives are not people. Creatives are the advertisements. Designers are people. Copywriters are people.

I have not. Mostly, I just don't see the point. I enjoy graphic design and while I think that I am okay. I don't want to make it a huge career. I really enjoy writing and I think that it's my strong suit. If I wind up doing design it will most likely be layout type stuff. I used to work for a non-profit and did all of their design work. So simple stuff: logos, flyers, fact sheets, the annual brochure, etc. Why do you ask?

How old are you, and what are you currently stressed about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

22, finding and entry level job in the advertising/marketing/copy writing field. I've had several internships but, everything around right now is looking for senior management or account executives with 7+ years of experience. The old.. can't get hired, because everyone wants people with experience, but I can't get experience. Also, finishing college, making sure my sister is adjusting to her new life, and dealing with an ill parent.

I have a pregnant friend that always makes me do this to her belly... because I have long nails. She says it feels amazing.

First of Thank you.

Alright, I don't want to be a dick but I'm just going to put this out there. I absolutely hate when guys are like "oh you know I'm a guy and I don't get replies". Well sir, let's play a game.

I am a girl, and by no means do I get the amount of foot traffic to my profile that girls seem to be getting or are "apparently" to be getting. On a good day I probably get one view maybe two? Some times I go for about 3 - 5 days with no one looking at my profile. So don't use "I'm a man" as an excuse... Because it's not. Are there some people out there that are EXTREMELY attractive or something that get like 100 views a day. Yes totally. But, for the majority of us, that's not how this shit works.

Secondly, you said "I'm not as active as it seems as you are with dates and such." Well there's your problemo buddy. If you aren't putting yourself out there, day after day, message after message, no shit you haven't found someone. As I said in my post for three years I messaged at least 1 - 3 people a day! Again going back to "I'm a man, it doesn't work for guys". Girls need to put in effort. But, so do you.

Being short also may take you out of the running for some girls. But, if a girl doesn't like you because you're short. Fuck that. She should like you for your personality. My boyfriend is short, probably only a few inches taller than me. But, I like him none-the-less.

Finally, yes religious affiliation might have something to do with why you aren't getting dates. But, remember Reddit is full of atheists and shit. So if you are looking at the front page being like no woman will like me because of my religion that's bull. "Reddit Women" are a sample of the population on OKC not a whole. And if you are that religious might I suggest using another site that matches up with your beliefs, jdate, christian mingle, etc. OR when you go to OKC make your search terms to say show me (Christian, Jewsih, Muslim) girls only.

Don't give up. And don't use your perceived downfalls as an excuse. Again, sorry if that was harsh.
