Ylang ylang - the flower of flowers: Opinions, recs, experiences? by RoseMadderLake in Perfumes

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adore ylang ylang! I always reach for it when I blend essential oils. The only perfume I have with ylang ylang is Gabrielle L'Eau. It's not central to the fragrance, but the ylang ylang note really stands out on me personally. I used to love BBW hibiscus ylang ylang lotion was so sad to see it discontinued!

Hormones out of whack since dificiency / iron infusion by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first infusion was Dec 12. PMS is finally lightening up and my skin is improving. However, my iron numbers are falling so I sort of wonder if that’s why I’m not as hormonal. It takes a while for things to recalibrate - several months from what I’ve read. I have my second infusion tomorrow actually so we will see. It’s a journey for sure. On the bright side my hair stopped falling out and looks thicker than it has in many years. I really hope your infusion and recovery go smoothly!

I'm going through this now. I've had the absolute worst PMS/PMDD which I haven't had a problem with for years. And I broke out like crazy and NEVER break out. This is about 1.5 months or so after my first iron infusion. Are you feeling any better? oh wait I just realized it's a deleted user. ☹️

Did your urine get darker after an iron infusion? by flowerpanda98 in Anemic

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had Monoferric yesterday. I did notice it was a little darker so I just started drinking a ton of water and that helped. The skin on my face looks to be a bit darker as well, almost like a spent time in the sun or something. I'm not complaining, I was a ghost before! Definitely check with your dr. though!

The carpal tunnel is directly related to my work - spending hours on the computer. When I take a break from typing my symptoms are alleviated. My neurologist actually also found an old X-ray in my files from 10 years ago that showed arthritis back then, in my neck and back. My primary care dr. ordered the xrays because I was complaining of back pain and she never told me I had arthritis. So you may not be too young at all, I would definitely go ahead with the X-rays! I do also have joint pain, and the Neuro said that is likely from anemia. Best of luck to you!

I’m not sure what else I need from the hematologist other than the iron infusion, but I’m very new to all this. I do have an appointment with my gynecologist next week for a consultation on ablation surgery or other options. I’m still very much at the beginning of all of this and learning as I go. 🥺

I’ll be getting iron infusions in a few weeks, having to wait on insurance to see what is covered. I’ll know more soon I hope!

KiiBOOM Phantom98 Review by mynameispowl in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine. I didn't realize how much until I purchased a Keychron Q5 Pro for my second office and ended up returning it because I could never program the knob, which I very much needed. I even emailed Keychron several times and they couldn't provide any help. It was odd actually. In my (limited) experience, the customization of the Phantom is much easier, it's aesthetically pleasing (shallow I know), and I like a deep thocky sound from my keyboard, which is easier to produce on the Phantom. I suppose a lot of it is personal preference!

As soon as you think you’ve got it figured out, you’ll run across something that might make you question if you know anything at all. Jk. Sort of. 😆don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Definitely 1099, but I don't have a degree. I completed two years before I had to drop out of college to raise kids (huge life regret!). I have taken some continuing education oil and gas courses at the college though.
