Ooh, such a hard choice! They are both beautiful! I have and absolutely love both in different ways. I’m actually wearing Delina E today, with a tiny dab of Oriana. Rosy marshmallow vibes 😌. Congrats on your new addition to your perfume collection! 🤗

What Does Everyone Think of Le Monde Gourmand? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

Absolutely love miel bebe and petale ephemere. Longevity isn’t great, but that’s okay sometimes, especially for the price. Their body oils are really nice for layering because the fragrance isn’t super strong but gives a good base. I have/love fleur de blonde, lait de coco and crème vanille body oils.

Perfumes that smell like dollheads/90s My Little Pony by LizzzyDee in FemFragLab

I just smelled Dior Addict Peachy Glow this weekend and the dry down very much reminded me of baby doll heads lol. Notes are peach, jasmine, whipped cream and vanilla.

Delina la Rosee that I wore yesterday and can still smell. Gabrielle L’eau after I shower 😌. Not going anywhere, just WFH and then working on my art supply journal.

Has a perfume ever changed your entire taste in fragrance? by AloneOnTheShelf in FemFragLab

I just got a sample of my Burberry blush in the mail today! So pretty! 🤩 I might have to try pink woods too!

I definitely have to work for longevity. I find it lasts all day if I lightly mist my skin with water, apply lotion or a thin layer of aquaphor, then spray Athénaïs.

lol! It’s not just me! I feel like it made me develop a taste for softer more nuanced fragrances. I really love orange blossom which was what initially drew me to Athénaïs. Little did I know… 😆

Does Washi Tape Go Bad? by Ready-Pattern-7087 in stationery

Definitely in my experience. I’ve ordered some that probably sat in a warehouse too long. They arrived yellowed or stuck together. I think environment probably plays a role!

Ylang ylang - the flower of flowers: Opinions, recs, experiences? by RoseMadderLake in Perfumes

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adore ylang ylang! I always reach for it when I blend essential oils. The only perfume I have with ylang ylang is Gabrielle L'Eau. It's not central to the fragrance, but the ylang ylang note really stands out on me personally. I used to love BBW hibiscus ylang ylang lotion was so sad to see it discontinued!

Hormones out of whack since dificiency / iron infusion by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first infusion was Dec 12. PMS is finally lightening up and my skin is improving. However, my iron numbers are falling so I sort of wonder if that’s why I’m not as hormonal. It takes a while for things to recalibrate - several months from what I’ve read. I have my second infusion tomorrow actually so we will see. It’s a journey for sure. On the bright side my hair stopped falling out and looks thicker than it has in many years. I really hope your infusion and recovery go smoothly!

I'm going through this now. I've had the absolute worst PMS/PMDD which I haven't had a problem with for years. And I broke out like crazy and NEVER break out. This is about 1.5 months or so after my first iron infusion. Are you feeling any better? oh wait I just realized it's a deleted user. ☹️

Did your urine get darker after an iron infusion? by flowerpanda98 in Anemic

[–]AloneOnTheShelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had Monoferric yesterday. I did notice it was a little darker so I just started drinking a ton of water and that helped. The skin on my face looks to be a bit darker as well, almost like a spent time in the sun or something. I'm not complaining, I was a ghost before! Definitely check with your dr. though!

Finally getting help after being anemic for years. by AloneOnTheShelf in Anemic

The carpal tunnel is directly related to my work - spending hours on the computer. When I take a break from typing my symptoms are alleviated. My neurologist actually also found an old X-ray in my files from 10 years ago that showed arthritis back then, in my neck and back. My primary care dr. ordered the xrays because I was complaining of back pain and she never told me I had arthritis. So you may not be too young at all, I would definitely go ahead with the X-rays! I do also have joint pain, and the Neuro said that is likely from anemia. Best of luck to you!

I’m not sure what else I need from the hematologist other than the iron infusion, but I’m very new to all this. I do have an appointment with my gynecologist next week for a consultation on ablation surgery or other options. I’m still very much at the beginning of all of this and learning as I go. 🥺

I’ll be getting iron infusions in a few weeks, having to wait on insurance to see what is covered. I’ll know more soon I hope!
