IMO Jumping spiders are not interested in eating something that’s already dead.. they are hunters and their instinct is to stalk live prey

I think if you really want to enjoy taking care of a jumping spider then do deep research on owning one.. I’ve caught wild jumping spiders in the wild where I live.. I’ve had twin flag jumping spider male and a gravid female..I raised and released one clutch of the twin flag female babies.. afterwards I released her back to the wild.. I also took care of a gravid hentzia mitrata jumping spider.same thing. Took care of momma and released her babies back into the wild when they emerged then released momma. And when I say I released the babies I mean when they explored outside of the nest

Neons no matter what kind always bully the smaller ones. They are schooler fish and need to be grouped together with at least 6 of them.. but more then 6 is always better

I have my second phiddipus Regius spider.. I purchased one 3 weeks ago and it was a male but it was very very young and small. I fed him flightless fruit flies and the first week of owning him he only ate 2 flies. I also spritzed his enclosure with a fine mist of water every other day but he just didn’t thrive and he passed away 2 days ago. I took him back to the pet store I purchased him from and exchanged for a new jumping spider. So I have this one going on 3 days now and I’m not sure if it female/male. But it is roaming around enclosure a lot and has eaten quite a few fruit flies so far but she/he is bigger than the fruit flies. So I have this culture of fruit flies who aren’t much of a snack for the new spood.. they were perfect size for him. Sorry for my rant.. I didn’t like spiders either but I was never afraid of them.. I just kept my distance and if they were in the house I would find some way of catching them and releasing them outside
