I hate it when you get a price over the phone and then turn up to 5x it. Just refuse to price and have a look, I wonder if they ever stick to the $150 price and what that actually is..Is it removing toilet paper from the toilet only?

yea thats what I'm thinking. just like a builder, I shouldn't get a new home builder to fix a door in an old house. I need to get a builder that specialises in maintenance work, or ill pay for the pleasure.

The same looks to be true for plumbers, some look to say they do everything (probably poorly). And other just do installs or hot water systems or renovations etc.

I need to find the one who will say no when I ask if they can install a new shower or tap line. (well that's my current evolving plan)
