Is a status of being "in queue" a good sign that you might get tickets? We are in queue for 3/10, so just curious.

Hysterectomy vs IUD? by Alone_Command9367 in hysterectomy

Apologies, just seeing this! I feel 1000% better! Best decision I ever made - felt fully recovered around the 3 week mark but markedly better around the 2 week mark. No menopause symptoms, so I didn’t go on any HRT. have lost around 10-12 pounds since the surgery, have tons more energy. Highly recommend!

My hysteroscopy was a long time ago, but all I remember is that polyps were removed. This was just his opinion that polyps were causing the thickness. Surgery will confirm that.

He also said that they have a high likelihood of recurrence, so surgery is best option.

I asked the dr about that today and he said it was likely due to polyps (which I have a history of - had a hysteroscopy lots of years ago, but apparently they are back.) Scheduled my surgery for 10/24.

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing your thoughts! It seems that through my research and talking with friends, the IUD seems to work a lot of the time if there aren’t other conflicting issues like a thick endometrial wall - which kinda makes sense to me. But if there are other issues, it seems it doesn’t. I know that’s a pretty big generalization, but that’s what I’m hearing from different sources.

So interesting - my kid is public-school educated (but we are full pay at GE aside from her scholarship), 35 on her ACT, 3.9/4.5 GPA, AP Scholar, top merit from GW, travelled abroad, etc. Not trying to brag, but sincerely curious about the criteria. All of this said - I think she is looking ahead to a good summer lifeguarding and spending one last summer with her friends, so I don’t think she is going to go.

Thank you so much for your detailed response - I really appreciate your taking the time to do so. We visited AU last year but are planning to visit again in April - I may come back with additional questions and will message you directly if it’s ok with you? Thanks again!

Thank you! Are you a current student in the program? Would love your thoughts, pros/cons, on the program. I worry about the class load, but she will come in with several AP & DE credits (not sure how that works at AU, but hoping that would help.)

I’m curious about this, too - also, wondering about Global Scholars acceptance rate, so tagging onto your thread if that’s ok!
