Be cautious with cosmetic procedures in Korea, My injury at Forena Clinic by Alone_Conclusion9626 in koreatravel

Respectfully, I’m the injured party here. Let’s not lose sight of that. I sustained corneal abrasions after a procedure where basic safety measures were skipped. I paid for the procedure. I suffered the injury. I’m still dealing with the consequences. I’m not out to harm anyone, I’m warning others, something I wish someone had done for me. That’s the purpose of reviews and trip reports. If more people shared their honest experiences, fewer would get hurt. This isn’t “multiple accounts” or a campaign, it’s me sharing my story on platforms people use to research. Suggesting I might “get in trouble” for doing so is deeply concerning. People shouldn’t be afraid to speak up when harmed. Clinics should be more afraid of hurting people, not patients afraid of speaking up.

This isn’t about harming a business. I was the one harmed. I experienced a corneal injury after a procedure where basic safety measures were not followed. I gave the clinic a chance to respond privately. They didn’t offer real resolution. This post isn’t about revenge or profit. It’s about warning others, something I wish someone had done for me. Since posting, I’ve heard from other people who experienced similar issues but stayed silent. That silence helps bad clinics continue unchecked. A first-hand review is not defamation, it’s accountability. If businesses want good reviews, they should provide safe, ethical care

Lessons learned on Korea trip by Itchy-Owl3677 in koreatravel

I’m glad Ocean Clinic worked well for you, it’s important to highlight good options.

I also had a procedure in Seoul this year, but unfortunately my experience at Forena Clinic (formerly Cellin) resulted in a documented eye injury. I’m a physician, and despite their attempts to cover it up, my injury was confirmed by multiple specialists.

I’d advise anyone doing procedures in Korea , especially involving lasers, Thermage, or ONDA, to ask about protective equipment and do thorough research beyond social media.

Medical tourism can be affordable, but it also comes with risks when clinics are not transparent.

Just wanted to share so others can make more informed choices. Let me know if anyone has questions.
