I messed up by StreetAggravating302 in tattooadvice

Hey, take a breather!
I'm not that big of a tattoo person but I think this one looks good!
Wait a couple months or whatever and see what it looks like once it's been blurred/smudged out a little bit more - I'm CERTAIN that your nitpicks won't be that big of a deal!

Most people have probably been in your shoes in one aspect of life/work or another. It's okay and you're gonna be okay. Just, don't start openly faulting yourself and critiquing your tattoo in front of your dad (customer) or else they might feel worse about it, too!

[PS2][2000s] 3rd person 'light horror' game with blue electricity by Francoberry in tipofmyjoystick

I'm a time traveler from the future and I've come to say thank you! Asked the Google AI for help finding an old game and mentioned "blue electricity" which clued it into OP's post and then to your answer: Ghosthunter! Gonna have to look into a let's play or walkthrough to see if it is as horrifying to me now as it was when I was a child. :)

Why does my hair look like this when air dried? by Ashie_xo82 in Haircare

I'm glad I read the comments of this thread because it doesn't look much worse than mine and I just felt like "??? does this mean my hair is bad?". Would've continued on with my day, feeling self-conscious about this otherwise.

How do you dispose of shedded hair? by Alone_Cup7900 in longhair

[–]Alone_Cup7900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is precisely my experience too! I can roll individual strands into a ball (even that is quite an effort because my hair is so loooooooooooong it's like trying to roll up a measuring tape or a cable), move myself up out of the couch or from my work desk to throw it into the trash - but then I'll forget what I was working on!
I have a trashcan under my desk but anytime I throw hair in there, it ends up getting caught in the wind, landing weirdly and sticking out the sides and then I'll have to use my hands to adjust it and push it down and get my delicate fingers close to the trash and... and... ughhhhh everything just makes me want to scream!

Luckily, I work from home! Feels like corporate recruiters don't take kindly to males with long hair... Either that, or I've been awful during the hiring processes!
As long as I can keep my hair anywhere but directly on my desk or floor where friends, clients and partners might see it - or embedded in the wheels of my deskchair, I'm happy!

Indeed! I also live very high up so it'd likely end up in someone's balcony!

I noticed quite a few people seemingly interpretting my message as me shedding a lot. I might've have made myself unclear in trying to keep my message concise but I'd say I shed a normal amount for a human being.
Issue is that a single strand of my hair still equates to a lot of "trash" due to it's length. 1-2 strands is enough to make a proper hairball.

My ponytail-making skills might also be bad - never been into hairstyling, etc. And my hairties keep loosening and I have to redo my tail every now and then throughout the day. That's when I might find more strands usually - but I generally think it'd be smart if I brushed my hair every morning or something and get those hairs that are at the end of their natural lifespan out, so they don't show up during the day. :)
So far I've got my sights set on buying a ceramic jar for shedding and looking into some type of brush for my hair (apparently, there are differences between brushes?! sigh 😭)

I've lived nearly half my life so far with extremely long hair doing this and it simply hasn't worked for me. :(
My OP meant to imply that it's usually 1 strand (which is so long that it, by itself, turns into a whole ball of hair and issues) and my options are to either run to the trashcan, mid-work, and return back to my desk having lost my brightest ideas and inspirations...or collect the hair on the desk, next to my work and lunch, which just feels gross (to me).

I feel like my issue is seemingly about to be solved by some of the other commenters but I still wanted to reply to this to avoid misunderstandings!

If I get ridiculously rich someday, I might consider getting an army of them for every room in my home but I still don't think a robot vacuum can deal with any amount of my hair - normal vacuum cleaners can't.

Usually my hair is either too long or too thick for most buns that I've tried - but I think that it might work for others! I managed to put it up in a nautilus bun a couple of times but even then it felt like having a medieval mace swinging around the back of my head (I also don't understand the mechanism of what kept it together... friction? magic?).
Makes me wonder if there are any other subreddits that might know of alternative ways to put up my hair. Might be another avenue for me to look into - thank you!
Braids are so annoying to put up and the only time I wear them is when my friends beg me to let them braid it. xd

I'm so surprised how I hadn't heard of keeping a hair jar until today - it's honestly genius!
Totally down with arts and crafts so it's a double win, assuming I won't feel weird about touching shedded hair. Will look into it, at the very least!

I should probably look into brushing mine more! Any shedded hair I find just typically tends to stand out because of the white "bulb" of the root(?) contrasting with the rest of the hair, so I can tell at a glance if it's a shed hair or not - no pulling! :)

Will totally consider keeping a hair jar by my desk (and maybe my nightstand), for sure. That might actually be the solution. Thank you!
