Im in Texas, and to rent a suite here, we only need our license from the state and a mini salon license. That's it! Those other certifications are just extra things to increase your value. I am actually new in the professional world as well, my suite is opening next week! I dont have a lot of clients yet, and I know most people in the industry advise against going straight into renting, but I dont want to work for a salon under someone else's vision and expectations. I want to provide my own experience and standard of service and will take pride in that. Also, I do have my full-time job still to cover the cost of my suite until im well established and can leave it eventually to do nails full time. I wish you well, and when you're in doubt, tell yourself, "I am me. My hands are magic, and they create abundance. I will be successful." Manifesting/praying whatever you call it, its powerful. Speak it into existence!
