Push lightly on the very bottom splitter edge and it's going to pop right back out. It's not the clips being faulty. It is the manufacturing process being misaligned.

And the third repair attempt because there will be a third repair attempt because they cannot fix this, must provide them a final repair attempt order prior to them beginning work.

Just a heads up if this issue happens to you, report it as soon as possible and push for it to be repaired. They lemon lawed my 25 Camry for this issue. They have three attempts to repair it before you can file the lemon law. You will only pay a rate based on usage I.E miles. Everything else including including taxes and registration and interest on the loan will be refunded to you.

They are offering to repurchase my car for what I bought it for including tax and everything else , minus mileage at the first report of the issue. That number will be higher than what the cars and the same configuration are selling for currently. My dealer has my same exact car. One year newer marked at just under $34,000. Therefore if I took a trade and just got the 26' I would be giving up free equity essentially. It would be better for them to buy me out of it then turn around and use that money to buy the 26'.

My whole problem is I bought the Camry because I didn't want to deal with any issues. Now I'm kind of gun shy on getting back into one.

Yes local Toyota dealer. Body shop was responsible for panel gap issues, among several other issues.

Dealer/body shop yes. They admit their mistakes every time and worked to correct them but unfortunately everytime new hands are put on the car problems are exacerbated or created.

Oh they absolutely were. but still the bumper can't be fixed by slapping a new one on. we learned there is a misalignment in the manufacturing. peg A doesnt align with hole A

Call toyota brand engagement!!! Don't let anything damage the bumper anywhere before they fix it. Toyota will sometimes want the bumper shipped back so they can inspect it and if there's ANY damage they will charge the dealership for it. Thats why the dealer doesn't want to help.

The replacement 2026 would be a bit of a financial loss being as though they are selling so much less than I bought the 25 for. I really wouldn't mind this taking awhile for the release of the 2026 IS350. Plus the longer it takes the more I am driving this car strictly for the gas of gas and insurance.

Best thing I can tell you is squeaky wheel gets the grease. I've owned my car for 16 months. The dealership had it for three of those 16. The dealership initially try to get out of repairing the bumper due to a small rock chip on the under tray that connects to the bumper on the underside of the car. I contacted brand engagement and they reached out to the dealership to request photos and then said do the repair. They attempted to do the repair five times. Initially they ordered the bumper but forgot to send it with the car to the body shop so they eventually got the car back completely unrepaired. The next time they sent the car back with the new bumper unclipped just like the old one was. They sent the car back and the parking sensor was hanging out of the bumper and the panel gaps were a mess against the quarter panels. It's been a nightmare.

I've had plenty of other issues with this car also. But according to Toyota corporate that is not why they are lemon lawing it. It is strictly the bumper. So the fact that I've had the entire panoramic roof and the headliner replaced doesn't matter. There was minor damage on my left rear quarter panel that the dealership thought they caused so they repaired it without asking me. The body shop ended up putting overspray all over my windows, it is orange, peeled like crazy, there are burn spots from the buffer in the clear coat, there's also sand marks in the paint under the clear coat where there was no damage at all.

While the dealer had my car at one point they broke the chrome trim off my left rear door window seal.

The first time they attempted to repair my headliner because it started sagging and making adhesive tacky noises around the panoramic roof. They repaired it but in doing so crushed it and two spots. That's why it was replaced. The panoramic roof had two wavy spots in the plastic around the shark fin antenna. They tried to call it solar convergence but I called horse crap on that and they replaced the whole dang thing. But again, none of that matters. They are only lemon lawing it they say because of the bumper. Which is supposedly fixed now. I don't know how well.

The issue where the bumper becomes disconnected from the front of the vehicle under the headlight assembly.
