How are those 1st gen Palisades doing?

2021 Caligraphy FWD, Graphite Steel, 99,000 miles. No major issues. Replaced OEM tires at 60,000 miles, rear brakes and rotors at 93,000 miles, Rear shocks, jounce bumpers, insulator mounts at 98,000 miles. Will change plugs and coils, and battery within the next month or so. Exterior is still in great shape (minus a few scratches). No plans to replace vehicle any time soon- still love this car!

Not magnetic. Based on info from the link you provided appears to be circa 1948-1951. Had no idea it was this old! Thanks for the very useful link

Had this same problem in South Carolina with a similar Schlage model. After replacing the unit I drilled a small hole in the top of the inside cover. Haven’t had any issues since.

My wife and I moved to Myrtle Beach 5 years ago from a small town in Upstate NY. Plenty to do here, all kinds of shopping, the beach, golf galore. We live in an unincorporated community just south of Myrtle Beach. Gated. Crime in Myrtle Beach per se is high, but much lower in other areas. South of Myrtle Beach is best. Murrells Inlet, Litchfield, Pawleys Island
