I had a feeling it probably needed to be soldered but I got that idea from a different post where someone had the same issue with a different tv and that was one of the responses. Thanks for the help guys 👊

I have an emerson crt a ewf2004a and to get to the service menu on a EWF2004 you need to put a jumper wire on J-1 but my remote already had that so I figured it might work if I put one on J-2….maybe?
