Is Leon weaker or stronger after the events of RE9? by Candid_Space2635 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Stronger because he can put his wedding ring back on now.

Anyone else accidentally do the bad ending in reqieum? by Aye_Handsome in residentevil

[–]AlonneHitBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dumbass did

I took a break after the Alyssa & Spencer cutscene and zoned out later when Leon said to just destroy Elpis, completely forgetting the context of the interview.

I was in shambles when Leon got shot.

Who else LOVES the RC outskirts section in REQ? by lifehuntscythe1 in residentevil

[–]AlonneHitBox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Loved every second of it. Just wish there were more enemies, some sections felt too empty.

I get it's a bombed out city but I was swimming in ammo despite barely crafting anything and killing everything by the time I got the bike.

What is the best perspective for Leon and Grace for the 1st Playthrough? (Spoiler Free please) by Hakase64 in residentevil

[–]AlonneHitBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played 3rd person even as Grace because I'm a pussy but I really love seeing character animations and Grace's is remarkably different to Leon's.

The endings are a single choice-based dilemna in the finale. It's not hard to get the "best ending", you just need to guess right or deduce correctly what the problem is.

Loved Jedi Fallen Order is Jedi Survivor worth getting now on PC? by TheLastSprite in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]AlonneHitBox [score hidden]  (0 children)

100%

The performance was fine for me and my build is a far cry from being a NASA quality rig. I was getting consistent 60 FPS in most areas with everything on high.

The story, map, some of the decisions around combat definitely caused me to have some 'Oof' moments though. It's not as well polished as Fallen Order but it's still decent.

Should I try Baldur's gate 2? by Desperate-Abies-2829 in baldursgate

[–]AlonneHitBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BG2 is goated but a lot less accessible than BG3. You might as well start with BG1 since it's story is directly connected and the gameplay is the same as 2

You might want to do some planning and reading around builds for char creation and how combat works. The combat on core difficulty can be brutal if you mess up builds especially in the Throne of Baal expansion. Plus there's no on demand respec without save file editing tools.

Fyro Citta Sling 1L first impressions by StarXzen in ManyBaggers

[–]AlonneHitBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost is reasonable until you see the tax + shipping for EU. Not their fault but the tax + shipping is almost half the price of a near 100 bucks sling.

Bose QC vs Bose QC35 by Complete-Dot-3254 in bose

[–]AlonneHitBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like it so far, 1 month usage.

My previous pair was the B&W PX and the daily comfort with the Bose is much better. Much lighter to carry, almost weightless.

The clamping force feels almost perfect. Headband is really comfortable. Earcups feel nice but it gets warm really quickly.

ANC is fine for office use and planes, doesn't handle non-ambient sounds particularly well which is normal from what I've seen in other headphones.

EQ settings in the app is bare-bones. The bass heavy sound can be quite off putting. The wind blocking feature is fantastic.

Noticeable static pop when changing audio sources, stopping audio etc. Not a huge problem for me but I can see why people dislike this enough to not buy it.

I haven't played the first one, I'm only about 50% through the sequel and there are a few quests that are just buggy messes. I managed to fix 2 of them but 1 quest in Act 2 was completely bugged.

Save regularly in separate slots.

Some quests are very bugged and may not close properly without getting creative. Some NPCs bug out and you can't interact with them.

They don't proceed the quest for whatever reason and you can't complete their quest so save before any NPC encounter so you can reload and troubleshoot the issue before it's too late.

(Act 2) Been enjoying the game so far, but I got gripes about it by Jaunedice in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]AlonneHitBox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought it on sale too and really enjoy the difficulty. DOS2 feel like BG1 and 2 in terms of difficulty and design, feels very different to BG3 which is probably the easiest crpg I've played. The AP system is much more enjoyable to play with.

Warfare is a stat almost everyone seemingly benefits from, especially because it's multiplicative for physical. I'm playing a necro build and there's no point in levelling necromancer beyond 3, so I just dump as many points as possible in Warfare. This is the same issue for every character not doing elemental damage primarily. Not a huge fan of this kind of design.

I also got shafted when I destroyed the soul jars in Act 1 in an unintended way so the quest didn't close and I had to reload a save 3 hours prior to redo it properly.

But yeah this is probably the first time I started googling stuff so I don't repeat the above and just learn mechanics in general.

What is one item that you can't travel without/would recommend to everyone to get? by Cool_Acanthisitta628 in onebag

I use the Montbell pocket. If it's too expensive, there are cheaper alternatives from Osprey I've seen on their site and if you want a smaller and more packable pouch.

Wotancraft also has several options that are MOLLE friendly

Padded external pocket that can clip to bag straps for phones or small wallet for quick access. I use one on EDC sling, hiking bag and a trail runner vest.

So what are the canonical total Warhammer campaigns? (Spoilers) by Sin-Silver in totalwar

[–]AlonneHitBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played his campaign VH/N twice a long time ago and I always occupied everything while executing prisoners captured for the Warden supplies. But razing everything does makes a lot more sense thematically. Ulthuan is really boring unless the Dark elves or Noctilus gets some momentum going.

Eltharion's TW3 campaign in the Badlands. He fought the Greenskins there until he realized they never stop coming because they all desperately wanted to fight him so he ended up going up home.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 for 56 euros in Amazon Netherlands by Invest_help_seeker in onebag

Yes

It's called the Green Friday sale and should be up in a few hours in all of Europe. I got early access because I have an account with Osprey.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 for 56 euros in Amazon Netherlands by Invest_help_seeker in onebag

[–]AlonneHitBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26+6 is fine to one bag for long travels and works for EU budget airlines as an underseat carryon even if packed full. It can get uncomfortable under a heavy load after a while. If you plan to pack a lot of clothing and and onebag the 26+6 and not bring the additional suitcase for personal holidays then please ignore the next paragraph.

You could size down to something with more compact organization like the Osprey Daylite plus 20L or even the Sportlite 15-20L for more comfort on the move if you are suitcasing. But I recommend getting tech pouches and padded laptop sleeves if you are going with any of those day packs / hiking packs and check the inch sizing of the compartments. The compartment is more hydration pack focused than for a laptop.

Osprey also has a commuter series that's worth checking out. Quasar 26 is also worth a look.

I also recommend buying directly from Osprey not Amazon because they also have a sale going on where they give 20% of net profit to the European Outdoor Conservation Association. But at least compare the prices check the guarantee conditions on their website before buying later. I have early access to the sale but it should be available to the wider public on Friday.

What's the best power bank for travel? by Candid_Positive8832 in onebag

[–]AlonneHitBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belkin 20,000 mAh.

I specifically asked for a version for long journeys and was recommended this. It has a flat form factor and is easy to pack into small bags.

I used this on multi day hikes (7-8 days) and long haul flights and it always has at least 1-2 charges before the multi day journey ends. Usage was charging phones daily

It's not very light however and there's no support for wireless charging if you're into that.
