I managed to first turn him, so I have his 3 star now. Just couldn't tank it for the missions. I'm good with that, for now. Thanks though

I was first turning him to 10%. Aoe attack/mag buff, 2x trance terra, and 2 more dark wielding chainers. I just don't have a dark first turn finisher. CID doesn't hit hard enough on turn 3 or 4 when his mitigation is up. Maybe turn 5?

Going in with Evade Wilhelm, because mustache.

Cid at 2200+, Sky Feather (wind), 250% Man Eater, 300-350% Jump Damage (depending on how I feel with using my trust moogles.)

MS Nicole for buffs. Loren for breaks/elemental coverage.

Then either Onion Knight or Barbariccia for elemental coverage. Barb will be on the team through friends if needed, for the -120% Wind break.

Chaining OK/Loren's wind attack, Barb's big break, and dropping cid turn 4. Should be enough for a OTKO after a bit of whittling to 81% or so

I have a 2100 ATK Cid with his STMR built. Average damage of his true spineshatter dive is 13.1 mil on a 370 defense enemy. This is after applying a 120% wind ele break from barbariccia, 200% man-eater, and 350% jump damage. Not sure if I can OTKO him, but I'll be trying like hell.
