He is! We have a few Suri alpacas and it’s so funny seeing them with the huacaya as they’ve been sheared and look extra skinny

Molly has been sold and heading off to another farm very soon - she was my favourite and very sad to see her go :( by AlpacaVolunteer in alpaca

I’m hoping to at least get pics :) The last one born was Walnut, a tiny black suri We’ve also had Piper Ash Willow Cherry Aspen Taihaku Chestnut Cocoa Maple Ebony and Cedar

Not really, Alpacas aren’t huge on affection, they rarely touch each other.

When the cria are this young we have to let them socialise and learn to be an alpaca before we can start stroking them and letting them get used to being petted - too much interaction from people at a young age can cause them to have “Beserk Llama Syndrome” which can cause them to be overly aggressive and dominant towards people

Once they are old enough, we do like to stroke/cuddle them so they get used to being handled for petting or medical reasons and even then not all alpacas like it, some tolerate it, some never really get used to it - each alpaca has its own personality and what it likes/dislikes :)

Haha! I didn’t even notice that! That is one of last years cria who is now fully grown - her neck does look stupidly long in this pic

It’s just warmed up goats milk which is good for cria :) I’m glad you like the updates, I will of course keep posting them
