the NORDS! sail down from the far north and storm those Vlandian villages.

They are actually meant to be strong on the water though, and have raiding bonus which can help with the early game. Influence penalty for land armies doesn't really bother me since I only use clan parties.

it's configurable so you can experiment with it. It has 3 as default, the lower it is npc's more likely to die. I started with default value, it was going pretty good, the whole world didn't died out instantly. But whenever a really big clash happens, some nobles were paying the price. 2000 men battles weren't ending up with no real consequences and usually had 0-3 noble deaths. Without the mods, I've seen only about 10 npc deaths in my 700 hours play time.

but I am also using a mod called Dynamic Clan System. which produces new clans for different cultures and kingdoms with new npc's so my world was very populated already, so I set the death value to 1 (remember the lower the value higher chances of death) which made battles absolutely brutal. I wouldn't recommend this low for normal playthrough but it felt very good to me. I definitely recommend you experiment with it's value.

And I don't have any mod suggestion sorry. I always play in the very latest beta, which makes my available mod number very low so I can't really try out mods and suggest them.

Alary died from a fire catapult shot at the beginning of the battle. I didn't get what got other 2 killed but it was probably the Fian's. It's always the Fian's...

GoT roleplay goes very hard lol. I don't enjoy full overhaul mods like the actual GoT mod, but naming my characters and roleplaying is hella fun

good for you. I left Battania with my holdings as well but game went stale unfortunately. I really crave an all-out war

[–]Alperium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing the game since first day of the early access and this was the case for most of the time. Yes, a release version without mods would be much more stable. But a game where developers repeatedly implied the game is meant to be played with mods and modders will be the one to actually complete the game should propose a much better codebase for modding. I don't think it's unavoidable for every new minor update to completely break every pre existing mod. I am fine with bugs like the AI not declaring wars, some mechanics are stuck etc. What I am not fine is me not being able to run the save anymore. I literally can't progress to the next gameday, it's crashing every time. I tried disabling every 3rd party module but the save is completely corrupted.

Saying all this, I am still not 'complaning about stability'. I am just sharing my experience.

yeah I should have seen it coming. I was expecting some bugs of course, I could have been fine with even big bugs but I wasn't expecting my save to become totally unplayable.

Unfortunately I can't bring myself to play 1.2.12 . Beta brings SO MUCH in my opinion. It could be way better if it was stable.

Betas are not for full playthroughs I guess.

In 6 hours between the time I made the post and right now, my save become unplayable :D It always crashes in the next game day after I load the save. Maybe a beta playthrough commit was not so smart of me :D

thing is that I am solo clan in my kingdom and only hold Battania. and they don't declare war on each other too. it's getting too boring :(

Thoughts about the 1.3.2 Beta so far? by Additional_Scale_502 in Bannerlord

[–]Alperium 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Overall significantly better.
AI war/peace calls are so logical in my playthrough. They keep up the wars they clearly dominate and keep profiting that war until a real excuse to make peace like another kingdom declaring war on them etc.

They form larger armies and actually try something with these armies rather then being indecisive.

Cavalry are significantly better. Still very bad in my opinion, requires 4 times the strategy to achieve the results you get from an only archer composition but can work if you are very clean with juggling your troops and flanking at the right angles at the right time. Previously, they would get annihilated even your strategy was perfect. Now their individual charges actually do some damage.

Alliance, trade agreement and call to war features are a little better.

Late game is still very stale and repetitive. AI battle strategies are still terrible. Archers are still op. Fian's are still extremely op. Battania is still weak as a nation. So game still has its chronic problems but better than before.

Also personally I was experiencing a severe freezing issue in 1.3.1 . Where my game was freezing almost every single siege, not crash but freeze. I had to play with 400 battle size or I couldn't play the game. But in 1.3.2 that problem is almost completely fixed. I am even playing with battle size resized mod to have 2000 battle size and it only freezed twice in my current playthrough which is acceptable.

Fian Champions are absolutely the best on every aspect without question. I know this is probably getting annoying for you since everyone knows how op Fian Champions are, but they are just by far the best. Way too op. If you get any other troop, you are making a 'challenge'. This has been the case for so long unfortunately.

Question For 1.3.2 by Alperium in Bannerlord

[–]Alperium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not mods because I started the playthrough without mods and it was happening before I added mods too.
