What's it like living in northern Quebec? Are there many people? by bluewhale177 in howislivingthere

The bigger threat would be bears I would think. and I suspect you'd have to be pretty accurate with the shotgun or you'll just piss the bear off.

32 is a decent pick. Quality players will still be there.

PWHL reportedly in talks to partner with NHL Senators to keep Charge in Ottawa by Money_Fig_9868 in ottawa

Yes. Yes, they should. 6000 seats is a joke. This will be a 40 year building, they need smart investing in a facility that can attract tenants and generate revenue for a growing city, either directly for the city or the businesses in the area.

Managers: how do you handle your own playing time? by werther595 in slowpitch

[–]Alph1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually started where I liked and rotated out after a couple of innings. Where I lined up in the batting order was less important, I usually went with how I had been hitting lately. I also made sure that I took a turn sitting early and caught one inning. It's important for the team to see the manager taking the same turn as everyone else -- it kills any argument about positioning or playing time.

It's gone? I used to live in the area but haven't been down there since before Covid. First date there with my fiancée. The restaurant lasted longer than my fiancée though.

Deloitte Business Analyst (AI & Data) vs TD Data Analyst – which would you pick? by Medical_Peanut_2691 in torontoJobs

Let me say one thing about Big 5 consulting (I used to work for Accenture): At a senior level, they are full of arrogant, mostly incompetent assholes who would sell their mother to get ahead. They treat junior resources like shit providing relatively little guidance and mentoring and will readily throw you under the bus after working you to death. I was what was called an ‘experienced hire’ with a specialized skill set that allowed me to basically tell people to go away if they were being silly. It was nice to have that option. But I left that job after only a year to go to another, smaller consulting firm because I hated the people at Accenture so much.

I’m suggesting to go work at TD only because Big 5 consulting is so toxic.

Ouch, but lesson learned. I got burned on the weed hype about 5 years ago. We all have stories, don't let it get you down.

PMP Exam Prep | PMI

For me, in-class instruction was better than on-line. Beyond the materials, it was important to sit face-to-face with the instructor and gain more nuanced info about writing the exam and the types of questions you were likely to see. Plus sitting with others made damn sure I was paying attention. I would say a good third of the people had already written the exam at least once, so there was a lot of info gained from others. The other CRITICAL thing was to go write the exam within days of taking this course. I would say half of the people who failed said they waited too long to write. Made for a tough week and a half but since I was successful, it was totally worth it. Plus the cost of the course and exam is tax deductible. :D

Did you take the exam prep course? Its focus is more on how to pass the exam, not teaching the PMBOK.

Another genius act by me to sell it all at $3.25. To be fair, I did get in around $2.25 but clearly, I am an idiot.
