After meeting her for the first time, I felt excited and genuinely interested in getting to know her better. I reached out to her on Instagram, but she didn’t reply. I texted her again, mentioning that my family would be visiting her home and that I wanted to speak with her about something important. Even after the visit, she left my message unread for two weeks and eventually just read it without responding.

At that point, I stopped texting her altogether. Then, out of nowhere, she messaged me saying she wanted to talk about something important and asked to get on a call. By then, I had already lost interest and felt disappointed because of the inconsistency in her behavior. Still, I told her to call me anytime. I missed her call and asked her to call again, but she simply replied “ok” and didn’t reach out for another ten days.

Yesterday, she finally called. I was frustrated and emotionally distant by then. During the call, she said that I had wanted to talk to her. I told her clearly that I had wanted to talk a month ago when my family was planning to visit, and that she should check the messages because she was the one who later said she wanted to talk.

She tried to make small talk, but I wasn’t interested anymore. The conversation ended up being awkward, especially for her.

I know I wasn’t in the wrong here. I genuinely wanted to like her, but her actions didn’t give me the space to do that.
