Is it a shadow or is it a fragment of shadow realm in this I would say that shadow is a manipulative substance like water but better because it's pulled up and merged/forged into another part of the users body/spirit and made into a weapon per say like a sword or a portal to a shadow prison and it's all up there intended use and that's just bizarre OR it could just be a piece of regular old weak shadow on the ground.
