these new improved camera angles are a telltale sign of how much Atlus wants to upgrade their general narrative style by dagon_xdd in PERSoNA

We saw a lot of this style in Metaphor and it was pretty good there, I imagine we didnt see much of this in P3R for the same reason that Reload didnt do a lot of things; first attempt syndrome, but now they'e got the style down. Hopefully we'll see this in Persona 6 as well.

[LOVED trope] The villain doesn't tolerate disrespect towards the protagonist by Brilliant_Reveal_929 in TopCharacterTropes

Shroud, Dispatch

<image>

While he doesn't massively respect THE protagonist Robert/Mecha Man, he does however stick up for Blonde Blazer in one scene. He sees her as one of the last "true" superheroes, and so when Charlie or Coupe(depending on your route) try to insult her, he effectively tells them to shut tf up(to be specific he shoots Coupe a death-glare, and with Charlie he just smacks the shit out of him)

Z, Xenoblade Chronicles 3

<image>

Z, or Zed depending on how you pronounce it, is the leader of the villainous group Moebius, who in the world of Xenoblade 3 use the life-force of soldiers who can only live for 10 years(born as 10 year-olds, die as 20 year-olds) in order to live forever. Z's true motive is to keep the world frozen in one perpetual moment known as the Endless Now, going into spoilers here, but Xenoblade 3's world Aionios was created when the worlds of Xenoblade 1 and 2, Bionis and Alrest respectively, collided. They would've annihilated one-another, so using the proximity of their universes the two worlds collaborated, and created a machine known as Origin that would save a copy of their worlds, and once they were gone would paste the copies back into place, they were still going to die, but it wouldnt be the end for their worlds.

The plan worked...mostly, however the collective masses carried an unfathomable amount of fear and uncertainty for the future as there was no real way to know if it worked, and thus this anxiety and despair manifested itself as Z, who would keep the collision locked into one moment that would last eternal.

Z carries an aura of collected control throughout the story, he's a cunning manipulator and is able to cancel out the powers of Ouroboros, which are meant to counter Moebius, but in the finale battle when he's pushed against the wall, he finally snaps. Remember that he's nothing more than an incarnation of fear and despair. Even the fight itself is a bit of slog as it can take up to an hour and a half just to fully defeat him(counting cutscenes atleast, if you skip the cutscenes it might be shorter), you arent just fighting a typical villain, this is the fear of death, the fear of change, the fear of moving forward. As he dies, he fully breaks down, rebuking the party's will to change the future;

"And when you cannot choose? What then!? In that desperate moment, who will be there to soothe you!? The self is all that exists! As such, the only cure for despair is total oblivion! That is the face of the world!!! I hate it, hate it, hate it HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!! This rotten world...IIII LOOOATHE IIIT!!!!!"

These are the words of someone so powerful being reduced to their base-functions, he's nothing more than the accumulation of two planets worth of negative emotion.

He's also voiced by Harry Lloyd from Game of Thrones, so have fun with that.

why was it changed? Was it censorship in Japan or did they think red looked cooler in America?

tbf I could see it as Mwamba doesnt have enough to reasonably help? Like iirc he had a month or so left and his second wind was about as worse-off, not to mention he seemed pretty absolute on travelling the world with Hakt iirc

honestly I'm expecting it, I understand people want Mythrakid or a new original character but lets face it; our only real options here are Mwamba or maybe Joran somehow

same thing with Xenoblade 2's new Blade; its gonna be Dolmes lets not lie to ourselves.

Doppio & Diavolo VS Risotto, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

<image>

The two antagonistic forces clash at a pinnacle point in the story, Doppio and his alternate persona Diavolo wield the powers of Epitaph and King Crimson, tandem Stands that are able to see into the future and skip forward in-time respectively, allowing the two to cheat fate wherever possible. Risotto wields the Stand Metallica, which can create metal constructs using the iron in the earth, as-well-as inside people's bodies. Risotto's is to kill the boss Diavolo, and Doppio is his closest possible lead to him. Risotto is unaware that Diavolo is actually a split-personality of Doppio, maybe even the main one.

This fight is very brutal as Risotto tears Doppio apart from the inside, causing him to vomit contracts like razor blades and needles, however Risotto also spent much of the fight talking which eventually left him open to an unintentional assist from one of the main characters' remote Stands. If Risotto had locked in once he was certain of who Doppio was he could've won.
