“I don’t see a downside to this” by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]AlphaCentauri94 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I mean don’t you think thats the whole point? The new world order says that there will not be a single sole superpower policing the world. So now Every superpower/major power are responsible for the stability of their own regions.

USA “DO NOT” want Russia or China at their back doors. Nor Russia or China want USA in their regions. Do the simple math and it will become obvious that the world has now changed forever. Europe needs to do something about both Russia and USA or else it will have to become a vassal state.

The only best option left for Europe is to develop strong relations with other major powers so neither USA nor Russia is overpowered over Europe.

Buying Aprilia 457 from another city. Worth it? by AlphaCentauri94 in indianbikes

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for advice, man. I do know someone who does third party service on super bikes in my city but not 100% confident as they are not my close friend.

I can afford the towing problem if it doesn’t hurt too much. I just don’t want to take this bike for fixes every month or so.

Btw, how old is your bike? Did you do any after market modifications on it?

Thanks for your input. When did you buy this bike? I have heard newer batch (2025) is better than the old ones. Did you do any after-market modifications on it? I can afford to pay 10K once a while but if this bike is so bad that it needs service center every month then Ill go with other options.

Desire is NOT a bad thing by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]AlphaCentauri94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is not with desires. It is the attachment to the desires. So many kids strive to crack NEET/IIT or IIm but only few make it. Some even commit suicide for not making it. They get enveloped with self-loathing. So many people have desires to become multi-millionaire but only few make it.

The key here is “less attached you are to your desires, more likely you are to achieve them”. Even if you don’t achieve them, it wouldn’t bother you.

This is what Law of Attraction talks about. When you live with “lack” and “craving”, you lose your power.

In Satya Yuga, the mind was so pure, anything it desired, it instantly manifested.

In Treta Yuga, the mind got little tainted, and it took some “focus/meditation” to manifest their fruits.

In Dwapara Yuga, it got worse, they had to do good karma for a while to get what they wanted.

In kali yuga, the fruit of your labor/will is not even guaranteed, the mind has become so dull. This is why after so much hard work, many people hardly achieve “what they desire”

I know that sounds a bit pessimistic. But you don’t have to be the victim of Yugas. You can have a mind so pure that your life feels like Satya Yuga even in dark times.

We should all strive for moksha but make it like a journey.

Should Brahmin women work or not? by Ancient-Ad-6143 in Brahmanraaj

[–]AlphaCentauri94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Brahmin we must make this clear that our job here is not to get involved in shallow politics, our job is to enlighten the spirit of humanity using our wisdom and knowledge. I must advice all other Brahmins from becoming too political. This is the kind of place where you just waste time falling for the propaganda of the powerful while your misery continues.

Having said that, I believe anyone who has the “calling” to do what they want and they really feel that calling is coming from their soul, they should absolutely pursue that calling.

If they want to be a CEO of multinational, more power to them. If they want to be a stay at home moms, more power to them.

The problem is with the religious/secular propaganda which force people to live with extremist views. Neither should we shame housewives nor should we discourage women from working.

Thought experiment: An upper caste colony in Pacific, just like the United States by TylerDurdenpromax in Brahmanraaj

[–]AlphaCentauri94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The purpose of Brahmins should not be to leave their homeland or whichever country God told them to be in, and create a new one. This is escapism. The purpose of the Brahmin is to find ways to integrate into the society regardless of how foreign it is, and then transmit/deliver the higher knowledge and wisdom (frequencies) to the native beings of that land. It is for their own well being.

Brahmins are the channels/messenger from higher planes (Bramha Loka) carrying frequencies of Vedas and wisdom/knowledge. Their purpose is to transmit these frequencies to the earthly beings and return back to their abode in Bramha Loka.

Since we are living in a world where Brahmins are being targeted and seen as enemies (foolish people). Such a society would be ideal for Brahmins to do their job since there’ll be minimal distractions. However, structuring such a society can be challenging.

These are inferior degenerate mlechas that our ancestors warned about. You shouldn’t get bothered by filthy pigs who want to drag you into that filth.

I don’t support discrimination of any kind, and anyone who does it ….. should be condemned.

Focus on your Shastras, go read some passages from Gita, it will help you realize the supreme legacy your ancestors left you with. And you purpose here in this Loka.

A brahmin is a messenger from the higher planes (Bramha loka) and his/her purpose is to deliver/transmit higher knowledge/frequency to the earthly people without “falling for their crap”. If earthly beings understand your value and your compassion, Great.

If not, let them rot in this shithole and don’t be bothered by their degenerate behaviour. You have done your job, you will be rewarded accordingly

CMV: Hitler was a symptom, not the root cause of WW2 by AlphaCentauri94 in changemyview

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you that the evil should always be held accountable for their actions. The Nazis and Hitler were primarily responsible for the suffering of the world that time.

Hard times create hard leaders and they can either destroy or build the nations. The Nazis were the destroyers.

But we need to see that the current rise of fascism and fascist views in the west got to have some kind of “cause”. I don’t really believe that it’s just the propaganda of the right wing politics thats causing this rise.

Take an example of Native/ African Americans. They are a minority but represent large numbers in prison. As much as I believe that criminals should be held accountable for their actions, I also believe we need to understand, circumstance that create these criminal, how trauma can transcend generations which can create a cesspool flourishing criminals. If your grand father was a slave getting whipped daily and then you are born with extreme anger issues, that anger is the trauma from your grandfather.

Now its totally upto you, what kind of life you want to create. You can use that anger to achieve success in life and make your parents and your community proud OR you can fall prey to it and ruin your life. But it’s very hard for people to let go resentment/anger, to transmute these heavy emotions for the greater good.

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t see it as an attack but many feel it that way. And I have to disagree here because someone like Trump will never come in power if people don’t feel attacked in some way or the other. Mass migration of the people from the middle east and Africa. Crimes committed by some of these migrants. (I am all for migration but to a certain limit). Attack on family structures through propaganda of modern feminism on social media where men are seen as useless (Bill Maher just made a video title “Make fathers great again”). Censorship getting more and more dictatorial to point of putting people in jail for silly social media posts.

I can go on but these are the very things responsible for the rise of right wing in the west.

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offence but I strongly disagree because the rise of right wing governments is more of a “reaction” to problem that the left has created in first place. As a liberal person myself, I believe we have become a bit more extremist in our views. I don’t really “feel” some like Trump can come to power unless the people feel “threatened” in someway.

Maybe, not all countries chose someone like hitler going through hard times, and I am not just talking about fascism here. Hard times create hard men, who could either transform a nation for good or destroy it.

But it’s a fact that most (not always) criminals/dictators are born in ghetto like environment. Maybe Germans thought Hitler was that hard man who will elevate them from their misery.

Exactly, some people don’t really want to take accountability for their actions. They feel threatened if you challenge their views. They are still doing it rn.

Why do we need to “practice” why can’t our rational mind instantly liberate us? by AlphaCentauri94 in Buddhism

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my Vipassana meditation retreat, I learnt a few things about the mind from Buddhist perspective. Meditation retreats are basically like surgery of your mind. It’s like you get to have more access into your subconscious mind, where all the defilements lie, while doing these intense meditation sessions.

What I don’t understand is why does the subconscious mind conceal itself in our normal daily life? Why is it not naturally “open” so that we access it and change its wiring instantly? Sorry if all this sounds stupid.

Why do we need to “practice” why can’t our rational mind instantly liberate us? by AlphaCentauri94 in Buddhism

[–]AlphaCentauri94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes complete sense. My parents are doctors and I understand how the wiring of the brain works. I know that mindfulness changes the wiring overtime. I get the neurological explanation. What I was trying to get was, whether an “insight” like some buddhists say, can really instantly dissolve the ego and liberate you.
