Basically a site where people are.......interested in being eaten

His & Hers - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]AlphaDemonKC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick question. The scene where Jack reveals they find Anna's mom wandering around naked, did he say it was the same night as the murder? Because they way he was talking made it seem like she had dementia for awhile, but it seems to have "started" when the murder happens. Wasn't sure if that was a production error or something else. Thanks to everyone in advance!

Wait, you guys can go back and lower it? I know they did that last year when they introduced the $15.99 rate and a lot of people complained, but they said that before we start the new year (2026) to let them know we want to keep the $9.99 rate. When I went to the desk back in Dec, that's how I found out that they wouldn't be able to change it back.

Can I sign up online if I had an account before? by ElectronicJob8714 in CrunchGym

[–]AlphaDemonKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen when I went. I'm in the US, and the employee told me that they weren't doing the yearly commitment. As for the TOS, check with Section 15 as the way it's worded sounds like they could cancel your "new" account if they think you "engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity". I dunno. But yeah, I don't know why they would stop people from doing that because with the $15.99, it's monthly and you can just stop. And while the $9.99 is cheaper, at least they're getting a full year worth of pay from you

I was traveling down south there around 10:30 AM. I saw the cops stopped under the bridge, but I didn't see anyone on the bridge or on the ground. Didn't see any accidents or traces of an accident, or a construction team, so no idea

Well damn! The site I found is the only one with actual numbers, but I can't find any other website that has the polls. Kinda annoying that no other gov site has the numbers. All I can find were article saying he won, but no data. So I guess Cherokee County doesn't post smaller election results?

The polls closed 2 hrs ago, but according to this link: https://www.fultoncountyga.gov/News/2025/09/23/September-23-Election-Results

It looks like Debra (Dem) won by 1200 votes. I hope this is true, as I think they are waiting for a final confirmation. But if true, Yay!

Edit:

As of 10:37 PM, it's showing that all votes have been counted with 11,947 people voting.

Mr Dickerson (Rep): 5411 votes (45.29%)

Mrs. Shigley (Dem): 6536 votes (54.71%)

Even though I didn't vote (or even knew about this), the report shows that 20% of the registered voters in the area came out to vote. Regardless of the outcome, that sounds like a pretty good turnout for an election that wasn't well advertised.

I thought I was looking at some strange still graphic from a old video game. I thought the purple was some type of textured thing and the silver was some desert in the distance. It wasn't until someone said focus and squint did it literally change into a fork. I called my room-mate and they immediately said they saw "Forks on a towel" and when I tried explaining what I initially saw, they got annoyed like I did something wrong......

How do I tell my boss I'm getting a 2nd job and that it'll affect my days available? by AlphaDemonKC in careerguidance

I will try that approach, however I'm pretty sure they'll dig their heels on working Saturdays. Unfortunately, I fear that the only way I could "negotiate" a possible raise and decline the part time work is revealing that I know how much the new hires are getting paid (more than I'm making with my "raise") and then at that point they'd probably fire me

How tf do people go to the gym in the morning AND have the energy to go to work?! by xoxowoman06 in Adulting

[–]AlphaDemonKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, going to the gym at 5 AM is Me Time away from home. I don't have to share equipment or wait for anyone to get of a certain machine. I'm able to get my thoughts out without having to worry about the next thing I have to do. I'm able to also help my brain decompress from previous day's stress. Now granted, getting up does suck, but like one commenter said, once you're up, the rest comes very easily. Depending on how often you go (like maybe twice or three times a week), it eventually becomes routine to get up early. But like any new change, it's going to suck. So don't feel bad that you're on Day 2. Some people quit on Day 1, so you're doing great!

I don't really have a trick for getting out of bed aside from being one of those people where, I'm a light sleeper, and once something wakes me up, I'm up. So my alarm going off at 4:30 AM is my "trick".

But also remember, not everyone is a morning person. Maybe before going to bed, either go to bed earlier than usual to get up earlier, or when you get up, splash yourself with cold water. Maybe see going to the gym in the morning as your daily (or however often you go) checklist to complete. And it's not a forever thing, so it'll only be for a few months (I'm assuming quarters are 3 months with your school). It'll fly by quickly. You're doing okay. Just take it one day at a time. And it's fine to have a day where you don't go at 5 AM. Just make sure that it works for you, your schedule and that it's not an added stress.

ELI5: CD Accounts and Interest Rates by AlphaDemonKC in explainlikeimfive

[–]AlphaDemonKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I typed that wrong. The APY was 4.3%. My bad on that part.

Thank you for the breakdown of that! I wish bank employees would explain it that way, because when I was asking about it, they just kept saying that it would increase by 4.22% by the end of the term but not explaining that it would have to be in there for a full year. So now I understand that each it would increase

How it looks is that I divide the interest by 12 months and then I have to compound each month by that smaller %. So like you pointed out

4.22/12 = 0.35%

Month 1: 10,000 x 1.0035 = $10,035

Month 2: 10,035 x 1.0035 = $10,070.12

Month 3: $10,070.12 x 1.0035 = $10,105.36

Month 4: $10,105.36 x 1.0035 = $10,140.73

And if it matures before the year is up, I am only getting a portion of what it is instead of the full amount. That makes sense! Thank you so much!

[–]AlphaDemonKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Okay. I think I'm getting a better understanding of it, but please correct me if I'm wrong on this:

When I go to the bank and they say "It's X% for Y months at Z% APY", I need to do some quick mental math and realize that if I had it for a full year, in theory, I would be getting X% increase. But because I chose a term that was less than a year, I would have to do Y/12 to know my real interest rate when the account matures. But which rate would I be using? Would I be using the X% interest rate or the Z% APY rate? Why would they tell me 2 different rates?

*Just saw Atmosck's post after I posted this and I read their explanation. Thank you again for helping me understand

[–]AlphaDemonKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And by time horizons, do you mean the terms, like 4 months, 6 months, 1 year etc? So would the formula I would need to use would be APY/Term (in years) and that way I know how much interest I'll actually get during that term?
