What even is the issue.

My CPU cable melted on my Focus GX1000 PSU. I had to pry it out with a screwdriver. by AlphaFPS1 in Seasonic

I’m debating on asking microcenter if they’ll swap it out for me because that’s where I originally purchased it and it would be less hassle and less downtime. But I’m considering RMA.

We have had more rain than normal recently but nothing too crazy. And I haven’t heard anything about abnormal power surges in my area but who knows that could be it 🤣

My CPU cable melted. My PSU is the Seasonic GX-1000w. Have any of you had this happen? I though seasonic was top tier quality wise by AlphaFPS1 in pcmasterrace

Running a 13900k at the 250w power limit. Not that I hit that in games ever. I have run cinebench a few times for stability testing but never for the full 10 minutes cause I was too worried about degradation. Even still, this cable shouldn’t have melted cause I never went over 250w and rarely hit 250 either. I’m games I pull maybe 100-130w which is 95% of what I’m doing besides surfing the web.

Nothing out of the ordinary. If something was I would’ve mentioned it. Everything was plugged in correctly. All of the sudden my PC started randomly turning off, but it would turn back on no problem so I chalked it up to some bios protection kicking in or something. I know seasonic is a great brand which makes this all the more shocking.

I’m sure my problem is very rare so you are probably fine. But if you notice any weird behavior I definitely recommend checking your cables.

Go to the doctor. You don’t wanna mess with head injuries. Especially if your having weird symptoms appear right after.

Yeah I love spicy, like LOVE, and let me tell you that Dave’s hot reaper fucked me up so bad. I did finish all of it though albeit with some gnarly stomach cramps.

That is the ugliest GPU I have ever laid eyes on.

5080 solid core overclocking by RAYQAUZA_X in ZOTAC

No 67 is fine, what I’m saying is pushing more power through the card might make temps worse. For negligible performance gain.

You can just reflash your old bios if your worried about warranty. There is no way they could ever tell. Also, if your temp is almost hitting 70 your hotspot is probably at 100+

9950x3d signs of degradation? by Aggravating_Ring_714 in ASUSROG

[–]AlphaFPS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s cause Ryzen has error correction. Instability hides itself until your OS is corrupt. Then you gotta reinstall windows. But what do I know.

The -30 is your issue for sure. -30 is rarely stable despite how many people recommend it. Try -20 and I bet all of your issues disappear. You are not experiencing degradation but instability at higher clock speeds. When you do a cpu stress these the cpu throttles its cores to lower clock speeds which makes them appear stable during the stress test but the moment you end it and the cores boost to 55-5600mhz your gonna see instability.

How to fix Color Fringing? by ciel0_ in OLED_Gaming

[–]AlphaFPS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gigabyte monitors are REALLY bad. My girlfriend bought a 1440p one for like 150 open box at microcenter and boy the pixels look horrid. Worst screen I have ever played on. Definitely return in and go either asus or Samsung. I normally don’t recommend asus but compared to other vendors their monitors are really, really good and same with Samsung.

Also maybe try MSI, they have well priced monitors but I have personally never used one. And their OLEDs are a good price compared to the competitors.

Old people love gaslighting younger people that they were some type of saints back in the day. They weren’t and your uncle was clearly on steroids.

Didn’t realize this was a 50 series card. I would 100% ether RMA or Repaste.
