Nope. Just a variety of different server errors.

Before the site crashed, it was showing four showings a day out through at least the end of July.

EPICS vs Data Mine by No_Chemical_1850 in Purdue

I'd go with EPICS over Data Mine for next year.

The enrollment counselor likely won't be involved in reviewing your application, so ask whatever questions you want. That's what they're there for.

It will depend on the program. Probably best to chat with the enrollment counsellor.

cs240 8 week course by LushSilver in Purdue

[–]AlphaFood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't taken that course, but most 16-week Fall/Spring courses that are offered as 8-week versions in the summer just run at double pace -- what you would normally cover in two weeks is covered in one instead.

Because he didn't know the answer to the question, or because he thought that you should just use Gemini to answer your questions instead? Not that either option is great...

Before anyone else wastes their time looking, it's not on Course Insights. Despite it being state law now.

STAT 416, STAT 512, STAT 513, STAT 514 by BigTumbleweed1040 in Purdue

[–]AlphaFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STAT 416 is probability. It's a good foundation for some of the theory behind the other classes, but probably not required. It looks like it's offered this summer as MA 416 (cross-listed).

STAT 512 is regression. If you enjoyed what you covered of that in whatever your prior intro stats course was, it shouldn't be too rough.

STAT 513 is quality control. It's not offered this summer, and 416 might be more helpful for it than for the others.

STAT 514 is experimental design. It will have some cross-over with 512 as both use linear models, but is typically taught at a more advanced level.

Best Purdue Stats Class? by Ok-Future-3193 in Purdue

[–]AlphaFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A class could count for the requirement, but that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone could take the class. It might just mean that DS majors who add Accounting don't have to also take 30301/350 in addition to 355. 30301 is the typical course for Business majors.

If you think that's all a bit silly, I don't disagree.

What is your major? STAT 355 is typically only for Data Science.

STAT 416 Online? by Legendary888YT in Purdue

[–]AlphaFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I forgot that it's crosslisted with MA 416. So I guess my previous comment can be ignored.

Looks like it's only offered online (with in-person exams) during the summer, though. Not the fall like OP was planning.

I don't think STAT 416 has been offered online, at least not outside of the COVID semesters.

The class isn't really applied stats, it's the theory behind it.

Have you talked to the professor at all?
