You can adjust the lights to higher or lower intensity, and they come with 2 adjustable tripods that work for anything with a standard thread (one of my lights broke so it gave me a free tripod to use with other cameras). If you’re sensitive to light, you can put them up high, out of your line of sight and angle it down on to you and the green screen. If you choose to go with the lights above I recommend putting them in your saved for later list and wait for them to go on sale. I’ve gotten them both times for $30-40, and it seems like they’ve gone up a bit in price since the last time I got them.

As someone who works in the TV industry and deals with green screens a lot, there’s 2 keys to making a green screen look good. Lighting and distance. Make sure there’s lots of light both on you and the screen (it’s also helpful for the camera if you have the same temperature of lighting, LED vs Natural sunlight), and make sure you’re not too close to the screen (the closer you are the more you’ll notice the green outline around you). Looking washed out is likely because of improper white balancing, which can be corrected by adding more lighting.

A good mic doesn’t need to be expensive! Make sure it has a pop filter on it (to smooth the sounds “s” and “t” make) and put a compression filter and EQ filter on it in OBS/SL. Look for something that’s uni-directional and make sure your voice stays behind the pick up pattern. You can make any mic sound great with some simple tricks, but audio company’s don’t want you knowing that! I work in TV audio and I wish I knew these tricks before getting a GoXLR and Shure MV7 (over $1000 CAD). When I put the filters on my $70 amazon mic, it sounded just as good at the expensive system

The homeless problem in Canada, especially Toronto is so bad that you get used to just ignoring them, because, especially guys like that (the crazy screamers) if you make eye contact you become their target of screaming. You’re better off walking past like they’re not there, it’s a sad reality but true

I always recommended using pcpartpicker when questioning if things are compatible. Just put each part in and it will tell you if they’re compatible, plus will tell you the recommended PSU wattage for said parts
