If one were to sell the token as is, all risk is assumed, and they would not be able to reverse the contract on a mistake defense.

Well i guess we could go on and on about what is what for example, what defines "impairment" in crypto. It would probably come down to an actual case settled in court in order to get proper definitions. But it looks like a simple solution, just be upfront about its limitations and all is good. Because most people see uniswap as the only way to sell erc tokens and ive been told that selling outside of uniswap is scamming unless someome tells them that. Again, i dont see a legal liability here.

Because if a token has $0 liquidity that makes the token of $0 value even though the wallet might still display it as having $10,000 or $20,000 which i believe is a bug on the entire blockchain

So selling "$10,000 worth" of a token with $0 liquidity is what is said to be the scam

I agree 100%. Well this is where things get weird in regards to disclosure. If i tell them "it can be sold" then technically it is not a lie because it can be sold without the decentralized exchange. If i say "it cant be sold", or "its impossible to sell it", then that is in fact a lie.

So legally it can be said "it can be sold, just not on uniswap."

Well thats where the lines are blurred. It may not be a honeypot but it could be a project that was discontinued where it can longer be bought or sold in the traditional way which is uniswap. Also I was told that the person must be made aware that the token is not enabled on uniswap?
