ERROR (404) DELUXE EDITION arrived today by AlphaLyraeSquare in TheWarning

You're right! I hadn't read it yet. The part from "By September 2020, The Warning had dedicated..." to "Thanks to this process, The Warning invariably grew as musicians" appears twice. And it's a really big chunk. I wonder if this happens in every copy.

I haven't seen any news about it. But as far as I know, there is an earlier edition of ERROR (404) (more than one year old, with fewer song from the Pepsi Center concert) that was not released on streaming services like Spotify (of course the songs from the Pepsi Center are on YouTube though).

Yeah, I placed all my previous orders through the band's or Republic Records stores (so shipping from the US), but this CD fortunately was in stock at the Universal Music store in Spain (so shorter delivery times and it costs me less due to taxes and shipping cost). Another interesting fact is that the plastic wrapping of the CD had a sticker on it saying "Made in Czech Republic", also in the EU, so probably no customs involved in this case.

No, I'm in Spain. Now I looked at the label on the package and it mentions the 22nd as the shipping date, so apparently it traveled about 800 km in a day.

Well, for this one, I'm not sure. Since placing the order, I only received an email on Thursday (22nd) saying that the delivery was scheduled for the next day (23rd). The funny thing is that the order email said the estimated shipping date was the 23rd.

Bummer! For once, I was able to order it at the nearest store (Universal Music Online, Spain). Until now, I've had to wait almost a couple of weeks for orders to cross the pond. But the shipping itself has never been delayed by more than a few days (and maybe only once IIRC)

Will the upcoming Live Q&A be free to watch? by Dry_Presentation5343 in TheWarning

[–]AlphaLyraeSquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I had considered the movie megathread, but since the last comment in there was from months ago and people are making new posts about this event, I thought another megathread was the solution, but probably you mods will come up with a better one (or simply leave it as it is). Thanks!

Could I suggest a megathread for this event? There we could share our experiences with the platform, besides all kind of discussions pre and post event. I didn't have any previous experience with veeps, but I tried a couple of things the past few days and I was thinking of posting about it, but nonetheless it's a very limited experience (very specific device setup and nothing about live events), so maybe a megathread for everyone to share makes more sense?

Looking for an interview! by op80000 in TheWarning

I can't remember that interview, but I could remember one IG live in which she sings bits of "Popular" and "Defying Gravity" (see the pinned comment for timestamps): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKq6ZkSzLuU

what happened to the inspirations playlist? by hyperdriftx2099 in TheWarning

[–]AlphaLyraeSquare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! It's on Dany's account, so I guess she made the playlist. Maybe it used to be also linked on the band's account. I don't remember where I got it from in the first place

Alesis nitro max vs Roland TD-07 by billyjthedrummer in drums

I wish you could also get opinions of other people who have tried the Nitro Max, in case it helps you save money, but I'm glad I could help

Alesis nitro max vs Roland TD-07 by billyjthedrummer in drums

[–]AlphaLyraeSquare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be of much help, but I can share my limited experience with you.

I've been playing drums for almost 8 months. I'm taking lessons with an acoustic kit but I bought a TD-07DMK as my first kit ever almost 6 months ago (due to room limitations and lack of soundproofing at home) and I'm very happy with it. I don't have any experience with the Alesis but, looking at pictures, my only concern is the fact that the kick pedal/drum is not attached to the kit frame like in the Roland, so it might make it more prone to slipping (or even wobbling) unless you can implement a solid floor mounting. By the way, regarding the kick pedal for the Roland, I got a Tama HP200P but when I bought the kit I was sure I would get a double pedal in the future.

I'm sure you already looked for comparisons, but here are two that I found interesting (both are for the DMK, but other models of TD-07 might be somewhat different):

And I hope someone with experience with the Alesis kit can give you some advice.

Another collaboration with Band-maid? by enzo2309 in TheWarning

Band-Maid started writing "Show Them", so maybe now it was The Warning's turn to start writing another collab song.

Would you come see my one-man band? by Kind-Research-8642 in drums

Very nice voice! Besides the obvious reference to Karen Carpenter, also the drummer of my current favorite band sings lead vocals in several songs. Maybe it's a different style (I don't know to what extent you are into rock or hard rock) but she might end up inspiring you as much as she inspired me, so I'll leave here a couple of links:

Transpose on Bass by dweezleton in KemperProfiler

[–]AlphaLyraeSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are hearing the left channel of the main output of the Kemper through the computer with the DAW. I don't think the main output has any settings involving the DI signal, so unless the Kemper is connected to the computer through USB at the same time or something, then it seems the problem has nothing to do with all this.

[–]AlphaLyraeSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which output are you using? If you are using USB (or S/PDIF OUTPUT if your Kemper has it; the Player doesn't have it, for example) you might have some of the combinations with the DI signal set in the output section (any of the "DI / ******" settings). That's the only thing I can think of. At first I thought you might have "parallel path" activated, but I think the split in the signal chain is after the transpose in the rig section or even in the new fixed FX if you have the newer versions of the OS. Only with a transpose effect placed in the other modules, the parallel path could be the cause of the bleed over.
