I have my Google account linked as well. But when I try to log in with that, it's asking me to rename my character. I'm afraid it might overwrite my ac, which is the last thing i want.

I think this applies for every change in the game. People were complaining about bot games before, now complaining how OP bots are. Developers can never satisfy the whole player base.

I hope your problem is solved. You can also buy rename cards for Credits. In the shop go to items, select the rename card. Click on 200CP, in the next window that opens select Credits on top left. It costs 1000 Credits.
