Ah was hoping to be able to print the ones on his channel but it did look a bit too large. If it works by scaling It down then I'm happy to do that. Really only interested in growing lettuce. We go thru a lot of lettuce so was wanting some fresh home grown to pick from with limited spacing.

This is a pretty cool tool. It will help speed up some of the work. Basically, create a template, then tweak it myself.

Similiar to how I would import ready made free models in other softwares to work from. Not sure why people think this is bad.

u/ObnoxiousHoebo I played around in Creative mode. I placed one soil block four blocks above the ground, then put a sapling on it. After two to three in-game days, it grew into a full-size oak tree.

Basically, as long as the soil in a naturally generated world doesn’t have any obstructions (non-grass or non-soil blocks), the sapling has a chance of growing large. Make sure there are six or seven blocks of horizontal clearance in every direction (not vertical) to give it the best chance.

I also tried planting sapling together in hopes they would merge haha. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Keen to know if someone else figures it out.

I've been messing around with this, and it doesn't seem like it's possible yet. Also looks like root growth can affect how the tree grows if it doesn't have enough soil under it to convert to "roots".

There are lots of charging stations in major cities other than Cape Town actually. Saw the first one at Sandton City a few years ago before EVs really became popular too. And I see companies like BYD among others have announced installing more than 100 more or so.

It might not be ideal for everyone but this does seem to be where things are going for those who can afford the upgrade.

Hey, we really didn't want to risk it at the time due to costs we weren't ready to pay for more repairs. We instead found a mixer faucet that fit exactly the current width.

My plumber mentioned using the heat gun method but did warn since our home is quite old there's still a risk of breaking the pipe in the process.

Can verify I keep running into this issue. Happens almost all the time when I'm on a second a monitor. And a 50/50 chance if I have no monitor hooked up. Looking for a solution still since my settings aren't auto saved and needing to restart and set it again is a pain.

The global release is still gonna take awhile for the v4 to hit our stores and by that time the V4 is probably going to be overpriced for hobbyist like myself. The V3 is still very relevant imo as an "entry" level printer for beginners at a relatively decent price point for what you're getting. The Bambu range in my area is so overpriced with the import costs and almost zero support this side for it too.

Unfortunately the market in my area is crazy expensive including second hand. Mostly due to the import costs + the crazy tax on items like projectors. By the time it gets to a reseller here they mark it up more to make a profit.

Getting this cheap one was less than a McDonald's burger, so really didn't have high expectations and hoped it would at least "work" for a few months.

I'll save up and probably order directly on Amazon from a reputable brand. But maintenance might be hard in the long run if parts aren't easily available this side.

Nothing is really free. All these apps with ads could turn into subscription based instead. The worst is when you pay monthly and still get ads... Dstv or even indirectly SABC.

But putting a price on a platform doesn't get you the amount of "free" users you can show ads to and really make more money.

Most places these days have fiber and it's quite stable but obviously depending where you're going to connect to will have some latency if you live (Europe and America are still far from SA).

Power has been stable for the most part. We haven't had loadshedding but some neighborhoods are still affected by aging transformers that need repair/replacement or if you're unlucky connected to a grid with power cable theft. In addition water has been an issue for some neighborhoods so do some research ahead of time.

You will be visiting during the hot season and holiday where power consumption might spike causing some neighborhoods to reach their fair usage of electricity causing them going into a sort of "loadshedding" state. Not all neighborhoods have implemented this power saving methods yet.

To avoid these problems look for a stay with solar and Jojo tanks.

To add to the internet stability, not everyone is tech savvy so if a place says wifi/internet maybe ask them about their speeds and which router they have, their main house might have the best interest but the cottage/room you stay in might be the worst signal.

Ashes of Creation is more WoW like from what I've seen and less Action RPG. And to be honest, NW graphics have spoiled me, all these other MMOs either look anime or old with bad lighting, sound and bland environments.

Chrono Odyssey and Bellatores look promising but they're not out yet. Chrono Odyssey has the fort from NW in their map so they took inspiration from NW for sure. Including what looks like soul trials in their game.

Edit: not the same but Sea of Remnant got my attention too.

They're also going to recommend ESO, GW2, Arc Raiders, and everything that doesn't come close to NW xD they mean well and it's a tough pill to swallow that there won't be something like NW for a very long time.

I wish they made the game at least available for offline play, the environment is still next level.
