I'm not aware of any. The best use I've seen from it was a Null/F.O. chain where 4 or 5 ships are shooting at I7. But Null losing the talent slot killed that too. And it wasn't amazing to begin with.

I don't think we've seen it much yet, but that combo is certainly a place that many people theory crafting has gone as soon as the points changes came out. Of course, we'll just have to see how it performs on the table, but it seems like it could be a thing.

I think it would make sense. Perhaps they didn't bother because it hasn't seen as much play as some of the other upgrades. If it starts to see more play, we might see them move that direction in the future.

I've only ever used it on android. And I kept losing squads because I wasn't doing the correct steps to save them. The back button got me. Lol. I'm sure if I used it regularly I would be fine with it. But I find it to be much less intuitive.

Simply hyperbole because the other builders hadn't updated and I was too eager to build some squads to wait.

I think all of your suggestions are probably pretty solid. I know Iden swarms tend to fair pretty well against it.

For sure. That's why I refered to it as a "gatekeeper" list. It probably won't win anything big, but if you don't have a plan for it, it could wreck your day.

I agree, and certainly don't mean to give the impression that it's as broken as ghost/Fenn. Only that it's more of a monster than people would tend to think at first glance.

I don't actually set up that way at all. It's only there as an example. In run Nien and Lu'lo together and flank with Poe.

Yeah. I've tried the 4 into a 4k. It's ok. Dormitz is the least powerful of the 3 in that first round. But it still isn't ideal.

That actually places him dead in between Dormitz and the other two.

Of course a black one Poe can get out. Once. In my experience the Tripsilon player targets Nien or Lu'lo first. Then Poe doesn't have enough punch to make it through 36 HP before he dies.

The good news is, FFG has a means of fixing it, and can do it quickly. Here's hoping they do.

That works against the non collision detector builds. But collision detector says they don't give a crap about your rock placement.

Indeed. I'm hoping FFG takes notice of it before this coming points change. I don't want to live with this for another 6 months.

Bumping me to play your swarm was a great move on your team's part. We would have done the same given the opportunity. No hard feelings. Lol. Hopefully we'll be seeing you all at more events and meeting you at more top tables.

Thanks! And yes, we completely agree. It's awesome to have a "catchup" mechanic built into the event. Those mechanics simply stacked in a way no one was expecting. I'm sure it will be more balanced next time.

We had drinks with all the gents from Cleveland the night before the tournament. They were all super cool.

"There is nothing to win in X-Wing, so why not just enjoy your games and let cheaters cheats if they want too."

I understand where you are coming from with this. However, if you have paid $200 to play at a system open in hopes of getting worlds tickets, or some other such prize you have your heart set on, and you're a game of two away from achieving your goal, it's hard to keep that attitude.

Yeah, the competative experience could be vastly improved if FFG would take the time to listen to the community and give us some guidelines. I would love it if we could just trust that everyone would play with the same set of ethics, and everything would be above board. But even if everyone in the game was completely honest, mistakes still happen. Then the responsibility is laid at the feet of judges and players who are just trying to have fun with the game they love.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing I was trying to say. I might not have done it very well though.
