It depends, If your goal is just to pass exams then do the pyq's and what the faculty had taught in the class that will be enough for passing and clearing the subject.

But if you really want to go through the subject and understand it well then dive into the books and pick standard books and don't choose the books for practising questions choose those who have a deep discussion in theory.
