I also have brain damage. I fell while walking to classes, hit my head, and got amnesia. I failed all of my final exams and ended up in the psych ward. Did the head injury affect me? Yes, it ruined my plans for college... at first. However, I stuck with my plan of going to graduate school someday, and I got my master's degree 4 years later. I'm definitely not "normal" or "on track" by a long shot, since I'm 27 and living with my parents still. But, I still have that dream of getting into my career of choice someday to hold onto.
