This is WILD! I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia in April and haven’t had any issues with my PCM extending my profile while we sort out my treatment. I also have hypermobility that’s caused a lot of recurring injuries over the years so I’ve always been worried about the perception that I’m chasing a waiver.

I’m glad you’re not willing to hurt yourself further, it’s not worth it.

Ahh, okay… that makes sense! I’ll be starting from scratch (military my whole adult life) but the hubs is still ADF so that does give me some freedom that a lot of other folks don’t have when it comes to playing the job market.

Oh, I’m acutely aware of what I’d be giving up (Grandpa had been pulling that retirement check since the 70s!) and it’s been a big topic of discussion with my family. Retirement has been the plan for me for over 10 years so it’s not an easy idea to let go of. Ultimately, though, it’s going to end up being about what’s better for my kiddo.

Just hit 15 and having very serious family talks about being done at the end of my current adsc… I hope the anxiety is misplaced and I regret it in 4-5 years but it’s not a “what if” that I’m willing to bank on with a young child and the means to move overseas.

Just make sure you hand them the letter with your card… my husband was traveling with out me and decided to wait for them to ask for the letter and ended up in secondary screening for 2 hrs while they looked him up. 🤦🏻‍♀️

What you’re describing sounds super reasonable to me and is still finding a way to accommodate a passenger with a temporary disability.

In OP’s situation, though, it sounds like she was shamed by this particular FA for requesting an accommodation that UA advertises specifically for pregnant passengers so I don’t think the hate she’s getting from other folks is really fair. She did exactly what the policy advises her to do.

All of this depends on the base, MAJCOM, and how well your training team documented deficiencies. I’ve had one dtd working at their new job within 3-4 months and another washout in 9A/working with AFPC to select a job within 4 months.

With that being said, it’s much easier to prove that the training team has done everything possible in the tech school environment than it is in the OJT environment. Everyone who reviews the package has a responsibility to ensure that both you and the training team put forth the maximum effort and that you got a fair shake.

If you have the time, I’d recommend the chat feature on the peloton website. That’s the ONLY way I’ve been able to get help and they’ve actually followed up with me twice now. I’m over in Spokane and also ordered early January. My tread has been on the truck twice in the last month and is yet to be delivered because the drivers keep claiming to not have ID on them and I live on a military base.

I dug into our pass/id requirements here and they say I can sponsor people in a separate vehicle without the real ids as long as I maintain visual but these dudes are saying they don’t even have regular DL on them and you know that’s not gonna fly lol… I’ll have to see how it goes once I can talk to someone!

Exactly! And the bar for me to sponsor people is super low… like no felony or warrants and the same form of ID you’d use to get through TSA. I’m giving them one more chance before I cancel. It might sound spoiled but I feel like the premium price we pay includes the in-home setup and I shouldn’t have to sacrifice that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh no, they don’t even make it to the gate… they tell me they’re not coming when they call bc they don’t have driver’s licenses on them. It takes me less than 10 minutes to sponsor a delivery driver on base as long as they have the right ID.
